First time for me to eat here. Clean facility, friendly server. Bit slow for a road trip. I had the steak and eggs, great taste, a quality biscuit. Kathy had the grilled veggies and liked them. Katie had a cheeseburger,, fairly big one. I would go again, but tis is a bit like Shari's or Denny's not a first choice, but a happy second.

The German pancake with lemon and butter was delicious. My kids liked their food and I liked the lingonberry crepes. Good diner for breakfast food.

Very very good food and the customer service was even butter. It did not take long to be seated. My brother and our sons had a very nice holiday experience. We went in hungry as we left with full bellies and a Christmas cheer. Thank you again Elmer's for providing an excellent experience.

Laura was our wonderful server and she was the best so please let her know because I drove from Portland to Salem to meet some lovely people. And, I waited for almost an hour. But she was very understanding.

I like the fact that it is air conditioned, and a comfortable and inviting place within which to dine. The menu is American, and all of it appears to be very good. The iced tea was freshly prepared, and the food that was served to us was delicious! It is definitely a restaurant that we will patronize again.

My husband brought my parents and I to breakfast here and we all loved it. Food is delicious and customer service is outstanding. We were impressed with their prices too. Definitely a great restaurant to bring family and friends.

Walked in at opening, and had our food quickly. Our server was great, and helped with some local knowledge. She was quite attentive, and even my grandbaby liked her. The portions were quite large, and we found ourselves wishing we had ordered smaller.

My wife and I had breakfast today 2/22/18. The bill was 26 dollars and some change. My wife handed the teller 40 dollars and the teller said " I'll just give the rest to your waitress" That would have been almost a 14 dollar tip. My wife caught it and said no I want to give her a 4 dollar tip. She then tried to give her money back and still tried to rip us off by giving the waitress a 9 dollar tip. Finally got bl it straightened out. Is this a normal practice of your restaurant to try and rip people off??

If I could, there wouldn't be even one star but it doesn't give me the option to do that! So, 2 times we went here within a 2 week period, but never again anymore! The waitress doesn't even care, unless she knows you in person, or as a repetitive customer! Therefore, we will never be back there again! You guys need to get waitresses in there who actually have good customer service!

We waited over a hour and a half for our food my husband did not like his omelette the manager said they were not expecting so many how could you not know on the eclipse day when the night before there were tents in every park they should of been better prepared the waitress took 7 orders before turning them in

We were in town during college graduation weekend to move out our daughter from her dorm. Instead of all the crazy out of towners going to the cookie cutter Denny's and waiting forever for lackluster food, one of our daughter's friends suggested Elmers.
What an awesome hidden gem! Fantastic varieties, friendly hometown service, delicious food and where else do you find HUGE German Pancakes? The crepes were awesome, omelets cooked to perfection and great ham and sausages!
We beat the crowd but I can see us returning to try more next time we visit Salem!
