Wow. Yes. Yum. Dined in last week and had the Pho Combination with Rare lean beef, well-done/fat brisket, tripe, and tendons. Got takeout tonight. Pho Tai with just rare lean beef. You get SO much in the takeout container. I had to eat it out of a serving bowl. The ingredients are fresh. The meat is good quality. The takeout is packaged up very neatly. When I dined in, the service was great. Quick and attentive. Servers and workers were wearing masks, which I really appreciate.

Nestled into an unassuming St. Paul strip mall, Pho 79 is some of the best Vietnamese fare that you can find anywhere in the Twin Cities. The spring rolls are fresh and flavorful, the chicken wings are fabulously crispy on the outside, but still moist on the inside, and the Bahn Mi and Vermicelli Noodle salads are both superb. The pho here is not fussy, but the flavors are transcendent. The broth is clear, complex, and beautifully spiced. The meat is always tender and the noodles are the perfect texture.
With a charming atmosphere, low prices, and friendly, attentive service, it’s hard to find anything bad to say about this restaurant. Even with a wide variety of great Vietnamese options around, I keep Pho 79 in heavy rotation.

Nice place for a quick bite. The prices are definitely good for the amount of food you get. Fair prices. It's near the U so definitely leaning for student customers. Good food and pricing for anyone. Me andy dad went here and the food came out very fast. The food was hot and fresh. Definitely will come again to try more. I thought the food was great but we honestly came here because our typical pho go-to was closed. ( iPho is closed on Mondays).

The food looked good, but when I ate it the bread was dry and it's just regular bread not french bread. Maybe I'll try their pho next...

I went to this place yesterday because it was raining and I was craving something to warm me up. A friend and I ended up coming here and loved it. I tried #16 which is beef broth with shredded chicken and it’s an amazing pho for beginners. It was delicious and flavorful, I really liked how the chicken didn’t have the squishy fat part that I don’t like. I would definitely come here again whenever I want pho. Our server was also very kind and attentive.

If I could only eat one food for the rest of my life, it would be Pho 79! I've been coming here for 6 years and have always been delighted by my visit. I get the special pho (#0) or the egg roll noodle salad (#40). My partner always gets the spicy pho and he adores it. The coffee is fantastic, sweet and strong as heck. The service is so fast, food always comes out fresh and hot, and the quality has never wavered. Thank you Pho 79! See you soon!

My friend recommended this place. So I finally tried it. It was ok. I like more seasoned pho. And I asked for hot & spicy. It wasn't hot & spicy but, they have me jalapenos 🤷🏾♀️. So it only was hot if I ate one while eating. The soring rolls had absolutely NO flavor! 🤯 The peanut sauce wasn't flavorful but it'll do. I think if the spring rolls had any flavor, the peanut sauce would brought it out even better. I still will be back because I had friendly, helpful, great service but definitely not to get the pho but, to try the egg rolls, chicken, & fried rice. ..

I have Pho Ga Chicken from Pho 79, atleast once a month. The pho is so rich and tasty, it gives you a new energy. The staff is really helpful as well. Will recommend to anyone looking for a soothing food.
