I ordered the seafood combo platter. I love their batter for this dish. It light and crispy with a touch of spice. Their tarter sauce isn't just the ordinary out of bottle stuff.
The fried chicken is soooo good! Got the 5 piece tenders with a side of fries. Gonna get the fried okra next time. Had a bite from my friends and that was good as well.
Decent Asian/American food at a decent price. Be sure to call ahead unless you want to wait to order, wait 10-20minutes for your food. They have a pretty good selection of plates, meals and individual items.
It's nothing special, but overall..not bad.
Great service and some of the best fried chicken around.
Aside from my last visit - Cajun Fried in Saint Martinville is easily one of the best places for a quick, consistently delicious, and rather inexpensive meal for the entire family. Popeye's may be the "popular" place, but Cajun Fried is what I'd consider the local favorite around here.
1.) Location - Like a lot of the best places, if you are not searching for Cajun Fried then you'll likely miss it entirely. A small location near the local Pizza Hut and Joyce's Market. The only thing that may indicate that there is a great food experience here is the fact that there might be a small gathering of people waiting anxiously outside for their order on the busier evenings! Currently, there is no inside seating available so plan on taking your order to go. BUT, if you only ordered a few things "to test it out" then don't go too far or you may find yourself turning right back around just to order more!
Food - As the name suggests, they specialize in fried items. Chicken, fish, oysters, shrimp - but they do offer some very welcomed variety as well. Want those fish filets grilled? Or the shrimp? For a small upcharge they'll take care of that for you. They also have po boys, some great Chinese food options (fried rice, sesame chicken, egg rolls, and lo mein) - and equally mouth watering sides to choose from.
Price - A simple comparison should suffice here. At Popeye's, you'll easily spend over $30 for 12 pieces of chicken that may have been sitting there for some time. Cajun Fried offers up to 24 piece deals for just over $20. DOUBLE the order, $10 less. Naturally you'll think "for that price the quality must be pretty bad" - but you'd be making the same assumption I first made only to be proven wrong. Cajun Fried has proven they know what they are doing across their menu and you'll have both a fully satisfied stomach AND a thankful wallet when you're done!
They're 10 piece chicken strips are absolutely awesome for the price as is everything there. Great po boys, great everything never had a bad experience there.
Food is always made fresh to order. Wait time is not too long. No place to dine in - due to Covid. Only front window pick up.
Hands down the best lo mein period! I've tried lo mein from enough places in enough states to make that statement and their fried catfish is probably the best there is too in my opinion. Another really good choice for price, amount, and taste is the cheeseburger poboy. It's easily 2 meals for around 7 bucks after tax.
