REALLY good falafel. We are a couple of city vegans and falafel is our fave. Gyro grill is our main spot, but this one is a different spin that is totally delicious. Do check out Gyro Grill on Delmar though too if you like this place.

Many years ago, I moved to STL from Chicago. I love this town but miss the ethnic neighborhoods and delicious food. Ever since the first time I visited The Kabob House, I've been hooked. Typically I stay with chicken and fish. The first time I tried food here, I tasted a generous portion of chicken kabobs and basmati rice- amazing!! However, family and friends now expect a gyro night, complete with the out of this world pitas and tzatziki sauce. We wouldn't even consider another place, knowing we've found the best STL has to offer. It's not fancy, but it sure is fantastic!!! More than two thumbs up,!! Kabob House gets the while family's !!

Best falafel, gyros & lamb kebabs. Whenever in the neighborhood I make it a point to stop by and pick up my favorites, hummus is amazing , staff is courteous , very friendly and very helpful. Call ahead as food is cooked to order which means it's fresh and very tasty. Keep up the good work .

South City's Middle Eastern Culinary Secret. Well, maybe not the biggest secret, but many are surprised when we recommend this hidden cafe located in a strip mall in South St. Louis City. It's kind of a "hole in the wall," but there are regulars and the staff is friendly and extremely courteous.

Things to get... There's a reason why it won RFT's best falafel. It's hands down the best in the city. Let me know if you find a better place, but with an amazing tahini sauce on the side, I can't imagine a better place to get these deep-friend chickpea fritters.

They have gyros, but the name of the place is Kabob House. Get the Kabob wrap, it beats the gyro... they're Egyptian, not Greek, and the seasoning and spices in the ground meat make these kabob wraps to die for.

You might pass it or have passed it by many times. It's my favorite gyro and falafel in St. Louis. Get it to go, not the best ambiance.

Kabob House won't impress you with fancy decor or china - but it is a paragon of friendly service and value. Because we ordered so much food at one time, we did end up waiting a while for everything to come out. In the future if time is an issue I'll likely call ahead with an order and pick it up - something that I saw multiple people do while eating. If you haven't yet tried Kabob House, I definitely recommend a look. You'll leave with a full stomach and [almost] full wallet.
