Just Chicken

Best fried chicken ever! My wife got the wings and waffles, yummy. But that fried chicken is amazing. Seriously, light, crispy, flavorful, scrumptious! Plus it's always nice to support a local business (less expensive than any chain)! After eating, I ordered 15 more chicken tenders. I'll be back often.

I got the winglettes (half with the hot sauce, half with the spicy rub) and sweet potato fries. The winglettes were big, meaty, and juicy. The hot sauce was great - excellent flavor and a nice burn to it. The spicy rub was a touch on the salty side and they sprinkled the cayenne over the wings instead of tossing them - that meant that the spices were focused on that one side of the wings instead of coating them all around. The sweet potato fries were excellent, although I did end up adding just a little salt to them. All in all, the food was excellent and a great bargain for the price. I happened to come in at a time when they were filling several orders, so I had to wait about a half-hour for my order to be ready. Next time I may call ahead to see if I can avoid the wait. The good news was that they have a TV in the building and it was tuned to college football, so the wait was quite pleasant.

The food was really good. Though a bit on the salty side probably due to my choice of flavor on the chicken which was the hot lemon pepper, it was hot and fresh and didn't take very long to make. I appreciated the fresh fries cut from actual potatoes. Great experience, lots of options to choose from and I will be returning soon.

Great food, great service! Not your average chicken joint at all. Everything is made to order and fresh... no frozen chicken fingers here! My tween age son loved this chicken tender meal and enjoyed the very large portion, as well as the variety of bottle sodas. Very kid/ family friendly spot. They even have an outdoor patio. Glad we stopped here during our visit to STL.
