Visiting with friends at the Art Museum The Hip Hop Ego event "THE CULTURE" Expanding my experience with hip-hop music in St. Louis. I thought the experience was enlightening. I liked and appreciated the symbolism from some of the pieces. The exhibit "camouflage" was impressive. Ascension was another display with a meaning. This exhibit conveys the trials and tribulations the Hip Hop culture has endured. Knowing this struggle, they continue to express their life through their music and fashion. This is worth the price of admission. As you leave the exhibit, there is a print of St. Louis Hip hop artists is on display as a tribute of the East Coast artists.

The underground parking garage is $15 This museum is great. It is so big, it will take you at least 2 days to see everything, maybe more. I personally would like to see just a few more places to sit throughout the exhibits for those like my friend who has mobility issues. (He can't stand/walk for long periods of time).

Free earns 5 stars alone. My visit includes The Culture exhibit great job! I wish I had gone on a day that would allow me to experience all this exhibit offered but I was not disappointed with what I did see

This was one of the best museum experiences I have had. The exhibits were beautiful and the museum is large. My husband and I spent 3 hours walking through the museum and we could of spent all day. They have a restaurant on site. We didn’t eat there but the menu looked appetizing and the prices were reasonable. The park in front of the museum is very beautiful and relaxing.

The Art museum is very impressive. It's a must visit for anyone staying an extra day in STL. They had a Hip Hop & Rap exhibition that was incredible. It had so much involved, from the original groups and DJs and MCs that started rapping in small venues to the graffiti art to the designers and fashion brands that attached themselves to a rising star to a piece of art of entirely worn do-rags and everything in between. Some of the memorable pieces were the photos of everyone in the "Great Day in Harlem" photo and trying to name as many rappers as I could. The visual/audio sections were fantastic because there were several songs by Kendrick Lamar shown and shot in two different angles. Any hip-hop fan would love to go, and I think anyone in the STL area should show some appreciation for an art museum putting up an exhibition that's seldom seen around the country.

Really nice museum, easy to spend a couple hours here. Collection did feel a bit catch-all and didn't seem to have a real focus beyond the large amount of German works. Bonus that it is free, shouldn't be skipped.

If you appreciate art, there is no reason you wouldn't like the St. Louis Art Museum. With over 34,000 objects from collections around the world, it's easy to spend a couple of hours here. The staff is friendly, and the bathrooms are clean. I was surprised by how quiet it was, especially considering that admission and outdoor parking are free.

Beautiful place to see. Lots of great art work. The hill in-front and the lake looking at the green forest park is amazing.

This museum was absolutely stunning. It is definitely worth the stop if you’ve never been. We went on a Friday and got into the Monet exhibit for free! The staff was very kind and helpful and the connection of art was gorgeous. They had a little bit of everything!
