City Diner

Classic diner fare at a fair price. I really enjoyed their menus being comic book themed. The atmosphere is a bit clinical — I’m not fond of the lighting and some of the graphic design choices feel a little “homebrew” — but the food and service, which is where it counts, checked all the boxes. Humble, delicious, affordable. Try it out sometime

The food was very satisfying, priced reasonably. The staff were very kind and considerate, and the space was very thrilling. Made me wish I came with a kiddo! I got the Pym-Cakes with blueberries and crumbled my bacon on top, very tasty and classically made to perfection. Only reason I put 4 instead of 5 stars on atmosphere is the interior lighting is very harsh and cold when every other aspect of the space is warm and inviting. I wish this place many years of success truly an amazing crew.

We got the slinger, biscuit and gravy, cinnamon roll, and pancake. Unfortunately the knife was so dull we struggled to cut through the pancake and cinnamon roll. But both them were pretty good. The biscuit and gravy was probably a 6/10 because it had an off taste in the gravy, but the biscuit was delicious. The chili lacked heat and salt, but overall the dish was great. The best thing on the table was the cubed potatoes! Crunchy and tasty, even after being slathered in egg yolk and chili. Would definitely come back with my marvel and dc obsessed family and friends. Would be good drunk dinner too

This is my second time getting the Pym cakes (pancakes) & they're delicious. I got them with chocolate chips & they're my new favorite pancakes. Yes, I'm an adult who eats chocolate chip pancakes. 😂 My son has enjoyed his kid's meal cheeseburger. We've eaten in the restaurant & gotten take out a couple times. Tonight my take out was ready as I stepped thru the door, which was VERY fast. Check this place out sometime!

We went there today for the first time with a large group (9 of us). We had a great experience overall, with being promptly seated and attended on, food being served quickly, everyone enjoying what they ordered, and an ability to split our checks between groups. This will definitely be a go to for breakfast in the future.

We really enjoyed this diner. Every other Saturday they play Bingo, and it's a fun chance to interact with other patrons as well as the staff. And the food was great too! I had a blueberry waffle with lemon curd, yum! My husband really enjoyed his frittata. The decor is so FUN, with not only a DC theme, but also Marvel and a few other random pop culture items (like Star Trek, Starry Night). And btw, despite the breakfast-y name, they do have other offerings. We just love breakfast for supper, so that's what we had, but I might try something else next time ... and there WILL be a next time!
