Review Chipotle Mexican Grill - Saint Louis

I was looking for a quick meal, and I figured Chipotle was my best option with the limited time I had. There were a few people in line before me so I waited my turn. I couldn’t help but notice how miserable the entire staff looked as they helped each customer. None of them smiled, greeted the customers, or thanked them. When it was my turn, I was no exception. I ordered my usual veggie bowl, and paid. I went to get a fork, and all containers were full with spoons. I asked the person at the register for a fork, and she snapped back at me “we don’t have any, we only have spoons”. No apologies or anything else, she just went right to helping the next customer in line. Other than that, my bowl was kinda as expected, except my veggies were undercooked and only contained green peppers and red onions, strange… I guess forks weren’t the only thing they were out of today. Oh well…

Been coming here for a long time and I gotta say the quality of both food and service has really gone downhill. The picture included is of the partially rotted piece of fruit they felt was perfectly acceptable to include in my daughter’s meal. The large guac had multiple stickers from the avocados they mashed also. I understand mistakes happen but the food is always late, the portions are never consistent and apparently bad fruit for kids is just fine to serve. Sorry but I’ll be going to the one off Manchester from now on, they act like they care.

The door was held open for us by a nice man upon our arrival this evening so we did not see the sign saying that they were only taking online orders. I was a little bit disappointed because I was there with my young daughter after a long week of work with my husband traveling and we had to wait a bit when there was otherwise no one in the store. When I got home I was a little surprised to see my bowl only two-thirds full, especially because my daughter and I were sharing our meal. I would have gotten more food had I been able to see this in-person like I anticipated doing so. I don't know why Chipotle would want to dissuade customers who want to come into the store to order, but I sure hope they are not turning away people without smartphones.

Out of town and I must say...looking for a Chipotle here on Maps and this was the closer, and right away the low ratings sent out a red flag. The reviews were simply atrocious, to the point that I almost didn't bother. Nothing written remotely resembled the corporate Chipotle standarts/product/customer experience, at all. But, I wanted my bowl, and came here not expecting to even be able to order in person. 530pm on a Sunday, and I strolled right in. Ordered at the counter like any Chipotle anywhere, so I don't know what these recent reviews were about online orders only. Gentlemen was courteous (I was courteous first) and may I say very heavy handed on anything I picked. I even got what I m pretty sure would be considered a double protein portion on any other store. So the reviews on skimpy portions didn't apply on my visit for sure. All the food was fresh and available on every container. Cashier also nice (I greeted her with a genuine 'how are you?' and a smile). Moral of the story...could it be this store is consistently inconsistent? Perhaps. But also, read your room, folks. This world is upside down and whether we like it or not, navigate around it. Difficulty to recruit and keep help these days are here to stay (they had a sign in store and were conducting interviews as I dined). Be nice to the help. ALWAYS be nice to the help. You give anyone vinegar, you'll get vinegar back from this generation. I came here with a good attitude even though expecting the worst based on the reviews, and got as nice as a Chipotle experience as I get anywhere else, and same product.

We have eaten here many times before and rated them with 5 stars... However, tonight was unbelievable. Placed the order online by duplicating what we gotta last time. Had to wait 30 minutes past promise time. Then did not see them make the order, ... but when we got home... everything about the order was wrong (someone else's order). The receipt showed our correct order, but what was in the bag was totally different

Over multiple visits to this location in recent weeks this location is forcing all orders to be placed online and refusing to serve customers in the store or handle basic requests. It is not possible to specify many order requests via the online/app ordering system, and even the more basic orders I have placed have been incorrectly filled on multiple occasions. What’s more, they do not call out the names of completed orders and force customers to huddle around the shelf where they unceremoniously place orders with no notice. This policy is purportedly because they are understaffed, but I fail to see how furiously filling online orders while dealing with a store full of frustrated customers alleviates staff, and a complete refusal of customer service is not an acceptable response to a store’s own management failings. If you want more staff offer better pay/benefits. This formerly repeat Chipotle customer will not be returning.

I went to this location today-6/30/2022. 11485 Olive-They were out of rice. I was told that it would be a 30 minute wait. It was around 2:00 pm. They probably had a rush of customers come in around lunch time; I could understand that. My issue is as follows: As one of workers was explaining to me that there was no rice she was scratching her arms, and the food was right in front of her. I couldn’t concentrate on what she was saying. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Please train you employees about proper food sanitation, and hygiene. Another employee was scratching their head. Since they are around food, and serving it, they need to be aware of how they handle themselves around food.

We just placed an order. They literally dumped ton of salt in rice. Never had this issue before. Like the employees did it on purpose. I had to separate rice to eat rest of the food. Do not want refund or another order. We placed 3 different orders. All of them we had to throw away rice.
