Honey Pit Smokehouse

What a nice brunch treat we found at Honey Bee’s! The biscuits were outstanding, and the touch of sweetness from the glaze was perfectly paired with the sausage gravy. The sausage in the gravy was tender and delicious, and the portions were huge and satisfying. The only reason I’m giving four stars instead of five is that the gravy was very salty, and both of us felt the same about it. Overall, this was a wonderful place for brunch, and we will go back for sure.

We came in here on a Sunday afternoon for brunch. The menu is small which makes it easy to choose - I can’t say enough of how yummy these biscuits all were!! We got an egg, cheese and sausage Sammie, biscuits and gravy, and the orange biscuit with chocolate gravy. Everything was SO, FREAKING, GOOD!! They’re much larger than I expected too so very filling - had to take some to go. My only tip might be it to do carry out, because the place is quite small so no seats were available at first, and after we were kind of stuck in a little corner. So, space is a little small, hopefully they can expand, because they are absolutely worth checking out!

Some of the best biscuits and gravy you will find! They have a very tasty spicy gravy that had a nice kick to it without being overly spicy. The owner was incredibly friendly and we really enjoyed chatting with him. They even brought out a couple of test biscuits for us to try and get our input on. I wouldn’t get the coffee here again, but the biscuits are definitely worth checking out. They have plenty of outdoor seating as well.

We went out of our way a bit to hit this place up! It just looked so quaint and the food looked so good. It was everything we expected and more! There was a decent line when we arrived, but they have such a good system down it didn’t take long to get through. The food and coffees were WONDERFUL!!! Highly recommend. I do wish the weather was nicer so we could have sat outside on their large patio!

My boyfriend and I came in after following on social media for a while. We were greeted at the counter by someone so genuine and witty we were stunned! We ordered our food and had some good morning banter and though there were a couple people behind us never felt rushed. We sat and enjoyed our coffee (which was above expectations too!) and when our food came out MY GOD it looked delicious! Every bite was flavor packed and just cooked with love. You could just tell. I had the October Pumpkin special and he ordered the burrito. We couldn’t even decide who’s was better! The burrito has SO much incredible flavor and the tortilla was perfectly crunchy. The biscuits are massive but the perfect consistency. Just beyond impressed. Thank you for opening near by, when my doctor asks about weight I’m going to gain I’ll send them your way! 😂 Truly a one of a kind place and team. 10 stars is more like it! Can’t wait to start taking our friends and family here as a “while you’re in STL you have to try…”

What a gem in the Kirkwood neighborhood! I can’t talk enough about how amazing the biscuits are! They are light and fluffy while still having a crunchy exterior…the definition of a perfect biscuit. You can pick from both sweet and savory options. Additionally, they have a good selection of biscuit sandwiches and biscuits and gravy to choose from. The employees are friendly and always have a smile on their faces. The inside dining area is quaint, but ample outdoor seating is perfect on sunny days! I will be back to have what I believe to be the best biscuits in STL!
