Review Ninth Street Deli - Saint Louis

Really enjoyed this place. It is likely a popular lunch place for workers at the brewery nearby. This is a true deli with great sandwiches. The Italian was toasted and perfect. The honey mustard chicken was made with a Dijon mustard which was surprising and not as sweet but good. They homemade fries were fried well with a really nice seasoning mix. And sandwiches were on REAL FRENCH BREAD. We were expecting a hoagie or something else but no. This is the farthest I've traveled from home to find real French bread (I'll forgive the sesame seeds). If I'm ever back in St. Louis, I'll be back.

Easily one of my favorite spots in town and they have a lot more than deli sandwiches! From burger to pizza and beer to baked goods anything you get is worth it. Some of my favorites are the meatball sub or chicken parm, and the burger is a close second. Awesome patio out back or fun spot to hang at the bar, watch the ball game, and chat up the bar backs. Definitely more of a local spot but usually packed with a crowd.

Bar & grill with good sandwiches, burgers and breakfast / brunch. Biscuits and gravy are tops -- fluffy biscuits and gravy not too peppery. And I really like the decor and ambiance.

Delicious as usual! This is a great spot for lunch and drinks. Sandwiches are always excellent. Working our way through the menu and I haven’t been disappointed.

We had my sister's bridal shower here yesterday, and let me tell you, they were nothing short of amazing! They were so welcoming and easy to work with. They let us decorate and reserve the dining room. Met every single one of our needs and were extremely flexible. Everyone LOVED the food (especially the house made salad dressing). The fruit was fresh and perfect, and variety and quality of sandwiches was off the charts. Natasha took care of us yesterday, and she was my saving grace! super helpful and attentive. They never rushed us and Natasha made sure to make me feel comfortable with the stress of party planning. This is a great venue, with fantastic food and awesome staff. Highly recommend to everyone.

We had the French onion soup, the nine sandwich and fries. It was so good. If I could any critique at all, I would say the fried could've been a bit crispier but they still taste really good. The bartender/ server was super friendly and helpful too. Oh and the bread was to die for. Yum!!!

Came here after Bogart's disappointed us by closing at their normal hour like usual. We weren't disappointed here, though, because the sandwiches are great! The french onion soup is a little salty, and the fries a little soggy, but the sandwich I tried, ("The Nine,") was amazing. (Great bread!) Our waitress/bartender lady was very nice, even though we were the only ones there. Great meal!

I knew the owners of the highway bar a long time ago And thought that I would stop in Can't even recognize the place inside. Till you look around a bit I love the way They kept The liquor case that used to be behind the bar And the fact That they put the hi way bar name In the dining room The food was excellent .Seems a little pricey But when you look at what you get on your plate it's well worth it You get your money's worth 'll definitely be back. I'd like to know if the owners are related to Patty and possum campbell The owners of the highway bar that was there before the deli

We loved 9th Street Deli and here's why. 9th Street Deli is tucked into a quiet corner of Soulard right across from Pontiac Park so parking is ready available Star number 1. We met up for our monthly Sandwich Club meeting round 1 pm on a Saturday. Most of our members have never been here so we were pretty excited to try this place out. First thing we noticed is the decor and how clean everything looked. The walls are adorned with what looks to be locally made art. We loved the tributes to some of or favorite pop and rock artist like the Bob Marley mural and the king of pop Michael Jackson paintings.Star number 2. The menu above the front counter is well laid out and easy to read and the sandwich selections although many is not overwhelming with some classic styles like a corned beef and a Philly,Star number 3.The Server was pleasant and friendly, star number 4. The Sandwiches ! Our group consisted of about 10 people and I think we covered a pretty good range across the board. We ordered the Special, the New Yorker , The Americorps Hero, Island, The Meatball classic and the Chicken Philly and a Soulard Club. Everyone was most impressed with their choices. One member that ordered The Island said that it was her favorite sandwich shes had so far with Sandwich Club.(we eat a lot of sandwiches so that's saying something). We cold go on in great detail about each individual sandwich but we would prefer you check out the on line menu and go there yourself. They are all good. They have some great sides to choose from as well. I highly recommend the tortellini salad or the Zapp's Potato Chips. Star number 5. We will be back. For the love of sandwiches. It was delicious, they need more meat to the philly cheesesteak, or stop calling it just like philly, fries wasn't done, but the ones that were was good and homemade!!I like the fact that they chill the shots made shots better. Staff was very friendly, place was clean, outdoor patio was open, I'll go again!! Great neighborhood food spot..

5 stars don't mean a whole lot on Google reviews since everyone gives them out. This place easily deserves a 5 star. I'll be coming back again and again.

First time here. Staff was really friendly and got me squared away with how to order (at the bar). Food was good (4 stars only bc it was my first time there and I have explored the menu). Likely gonna become a frequent place for me.

This is honestly one of my favorite delis. The house salad is so simple but, the house dressing makes it! Sandwiches are always delicious. I go for the saffron chicken salad if I'm not feeling the special.

We walked in right before the kitchen closed. Thankful they were kind enough to serve us; the food was delicious. I had the Happy Camper. The cajun bacon has a perfect sweet bite with a subtle kick. Rrally tender too. The bacon doesn't overpower the other ingredients though. The meats all stand on their own, the veggies are crisp, the sauce just right. Warm, soft bread. Everything balances well. I stole a bite of the meatball sub. Real tender and soft meatballs. Bread stays firm. The salad was delicious as well. Housemade dressings!

#1 in STL for Philly Cheesesteak, especially if you're a "Wiz, wit" person and don't mind a touch of red peppers. The bread has a lil crunch on the outside and a perfectly pillowy-doughy inside. I usually wish there was a little more meat inside and end up ripping off an inch of the bread but that really isn't much of a problem. What remains is absolute Philly gold. But on my last visit the ratio was perfect. The fries are kind of an afterthought but so what, you're here for a Philly and it's seriously about as good as it gets in my opinion...if you're not near Dalessandro's.
