Sister Cities Cajun on South Broadway is a Cajun Dream! The authenticity shines through in every bite, with their chef-driven cuisine crafted from scratch. The fresh-squeezed hurricanes and inspired sangria complement the craft beer selection. Now, let's talk about the stars of the menu. The Crawfish & Crab Cakes are fluffy with crab and crawfish dusted with breadcrumbs, pan-seared to perfection. The Sesame Hoisin Bowl is a flavorful journey with shrimp on jasmine rice, crispy garlic, sesame hoisin, and house hot sauce. And oh, the fried potato salad steals the show – so different and unique.

Our first visit on a quiet Monday night was very enjoyable. Large beer and bar selection, including several appealing wine choices. My picky, gumbo loving husband gave the gumbo a rare thumbs up. I'm not keen on Cajun, but the waitress was very helpful with descriptions and suggestions. The chef came out to be sure he understood what I wanted and was happy to accommodate. I had tasty shrimp, with cheese + grits patties(I don't like grits, but loved these patties) and brown gravy on the side. The gravy was, to me, very spicey. A drizzle was all I needed for an attractively presented, delicious meal.

This place is amazing! My family and I dined in on a Monday evening; I am always super self-conscious about my younger children's behavior in public places however our server was so accommodating and helpful. She gave the kids toys and coloring books and made me feel better. The food? Freaking delicious. It was fresh, hot, savory and plentiful! I saw this place by following a foodie blogger and it was definitely worth every penny. I really hate to compare restaurants for obvious reasons but if you like Gulf Shores, you will LOVE this place way more and save your coins! Surprisingly, we all ordered the same dish, but slightly different, fried catfish smothered in the gumbo.

Excellent Cajun cuisine by an authentic low-country Louisiana Cajun and his wife! Great service, ambience with a friendly atmosphere. Sister Cities Cajun has it all! Pan blackened Red Fish was excellent.

I’m constantly on the prowl to try places I haven’t been in hopes to stumble upon some next level chicken. I read about the wings here in an article so I decided to give them a gander. Right off the bat this place has such a cool atmosphere and overall aesthetic. The person working was extremely friendly and hospitable. I ordered the smoked, dry rub, wings and my girlfriend got the Cioppino and a side of gumbo. As soon as I saw the wings I was stricken with disappointment - the dreaded “jumbo wing”. Now I know what you’re thinking. The bigger the better right? More bang for your buck. WRONG. If you’ve eaten as much chicken from as many different places as I have then you know the truth. Jumbo wings are generally a grotesque monstrosity and this experience was no different. They were slightly rubbery and the meat had a strange mouthfeel overall. That being said the wings were imbibed with an oh-so-pleasant smokiness and the dry rub was fantastic. Because of the chicken, itself, I was only able to finish about half before I lost interest. 6.8/10 clucks. If smaller, higher quality, wings were used then the potential is astronomical. My girlfriend said the gumbo was too salty and could only eat one bite. We gave our leftovers to a nearby homeless person so nothing was wasted. The Cioppino was the star of the show, filled with incredibly fresh tasting shrimp, scallops, mussels, clams, and crawfish. She said this dish was AMAZING giving it a 9.2/10 which is remarkably high given her typically reserved ratings. She’s from Korea and is exceedingly picky about seafood. I would 110% recommend this place for its seafood options and atmosphere alone.

So nice that there was seating available upon their opening hours of noon on Sunday. An explosion of flavors in my sesame hoisin bowl. I chose chicken as my protein and was pleasantly surprised to see fried chicken served. I also had the banana bread pudding for dessert. I definitely needed to walk that off and maybe need a nap after that. But so delicious will go back for the live music next time. I also included a picture of my friends dish. She ordered the catfish basket and a side red beans and rice.

Super cute little place - the food was good, but not quite what I'm used to in Southern, cajun food. I'm glad we tried it, but probably won't return. The sweet tea was also not true southern tea. Just a little disappointed. The service was great, the atmosphere is good. Good if you're not a true southerner. The cheesy grits were a bit overpoweringly CHEESY and the dirty chicken was a little too rich.

If u ever travel to St.Louis please come here!!! The food is the BEST I’ve EVER tasted. I bought the gumbo, chicken and sausage jambalaya, hot wings fries and cole slaw. All dishes come with corn bread made with honey and brown sugar. Simply Delicious!! They have a nice patio to enjoy the weather . The plating was excellent and showed great care ! I love it here and will be back to eat. I forgot about the shrimp and grits.
