Celebrated our 30th Anniversay at I Fratellini. It was a perfect evening made better by their great service and fantastic food and wine! Will definitely be back with all our friends!
Amazing decor! The food and service was OUTSTANDING. We enjoyed our anniversary here. You have to make a reservation because it is always busy. I recommend hitting Bar Les Freres right across the street for a glass of wine or cocktail before sitting down for dinner at Fratellini. You will feel like you are dining on the streets of Paris.
Fantastic lunch. The cucumber appetizer and the endive wrapped with prosciutto appetizer are pretty amazing. Ask for Jesse as a server. He's top-notch.
Wonderful food, cute and quaint space. Will definitely come back soon.
Excellent food. Fabulous service and awesome smells!
Great Food, Great staff! One of Jerri's favorite restaurants in STL
My favorite St Louis restaurant! Lobster pasta never disappoints.
I have eaten at I Fratellini 543 times....it's always perfection!!!!
Excellent, food, service, atmosphere!
Great atmosphere, food and location. Perfect for a romantic dinner. Will go again soon.
Absolutely incredible! Excellent meal. Excellent atmosphere. I will be back!
The atmosphere, people and the food make I Fratellini a wonderful place to enjoy a meal with family and friends.
Such a lovely environment. My friend is a regular visitor of this restaurant and she suggested we celebrated my birthday here. I am glad I agreed because I was really impressed with the courteous service, menu selections and in fact everything we ordered including the drinks and desserts were...
Decadent Italian. I enjoyed the tagliatelle, while others in my party enjoyed the trout, duck, and salmon. Everyone was delighted by their dish. So much so that we decided to share a bite of each! Everything was prepared perfectly. I will definitely return to this wonderful, romantic establishment.
Why does no one talk about I Fratellini? The only logical reason I can think of is that all the other publications and blogs want to keep this gem hidden as best they can. I must admit that even I thought about skipping this review or lying and saying it’s terrible, don’t go. Instead, I chose to share the truth with you: this is an excellent restaurant that you need to try. Fratellini is located off Wydown and Hanley. In a word, the restaurant is romantic. Lots of dark wood, sexy lighting, and marble. Gents, if you need to propose/apologize/woo your lady, this is the place to do it – but make sure you call at least a week in advance. Reservations can be hard to come by due to the restaurant’s small size and popularity. Picking a starter was difficult, but ultimately we decided that the Caprini would suit our needs. Warm, mild goat cheese is surrounded by roasted garlic, capers, sundried tomatoes, fresh basil, and crunchy crostini. This is my favorite kind of Italian food: simple ingredients that pair together beautifully.
Romantic!. I love I Fratellini. My Fiance and I go here for dinner frequently. The Lamb is the best in town but really everything we have eaten has always been wonderful.
We had a fabulous meal, food was excellent. Our server seemed a bit put off that we brought our 7 yr old daughter who is a very seasoned diner with experience at many fine restaurants. That aside, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The lobster ravioli was excellent as was the tagliatelle with prosciutto and porcinis. My husband had the duck which was tasty but a bit overcooked. Ambience is fabulous, intimate, beautiful setting. I will definitely return when I visit St Louis again
Must go!!! It was absolutely amazing- perfect for date night. Food is GREAT and atmosphere is great. Staff is nice and attentive. No complaints :)

A new favorite. Atmosphere, service and food was Great! Felt like a NYC tucked away restaurant. Loved it.
Went for dinner on a Saturday night. The food was fantastic! My boyfriend says it is equal quality to the Signature dining at Disney. The lobster ravioli was the best we've ever had, hands down. We also had the duck which was very good and paired nicely with the chianti they brought us. We also had the Blueberry Tart with cinnamon ice cream for dessert. It was delicious! It is a must try! Service was top notch and the staff took great care of us. We will definitely be back when we come to St. Louis!
Wonderful experience!. Went to I Fratellini for a birthday dinner, everything was wonderful! The duck is amazing as well as the Lobster Ravioli. Our server Neil was very pleasant and attentive. We are looking forward to a return visit!
Aces. Wow - in my experience Clayton has MUCH better Italian than the Hill!
Loved our lunch experience here. High end/not cheap for a lunch, but the Boss was paying and the vino did flow.
Service was top notch, Bread/pistachio butter was excellent.
I let the Server choose my dish and he chose a mushroom cream sauce w/ thick noodles. The name escapes me but it was fantastic. Lasagna special was excellent as well. Also very buttery/creamy but so this might be a meal to splurge on.
We also had the Canolis for dessert - they were good but not mind blowing.
Can't wait to go back for dinner soon!
Great pasta dishes!. My friend and I ordered the goat cheese ravioli and the lasagna, which was the daily special. Ravioli was just ok, way too much olive oil. But the lasagna was AMAZING! Layers of cheeses, ground Italian sausage, and tons of red sauce and chuncks of tomatoes. LOVED IT! And the portion was humongous! They should definitely put that on the daily menu. Service was good, attentive - but I think mostly because it was a little light that day, but servers were still friendly.
Best Duck Breast in St. Louis. This place is almost impossible to find, We drove by twice. There is nothing but a black sign on the building to identify the establishment. Small intimate somewhat pricey but oh so worth the price. We had reservations and I don't know how you could just walk off the street and score a table unless it was luck. We went here on a special occasion as it was my son Chip's 30 birthday. Happy birthday Chip!! The waiter told me they had the best duck breast in St. Louis. A mighty big claim. I kept thinking I really want to try the steak but how can you pass up a challenge like that? The duck came with parsnips and a red wine reduction sauce. I had the breast cooked medium and it was just perfect. Every bite was pure pleasure. The parsnips were the best I have had other than Grandmother Murphy's. The duck was better than Grandmother Murphy's. Sorry Grandmother but there was no shot in the meat. I cannot describe how good it was but it was other worldly.
Mrs K had the lasagna. It is not like any lasagna I have ever tasted. There was no ricotta cheese which did not hurt the dish. The waiter said Tom Cruze could not finish the lasagna well my wife is in good company as she could not finish it either. The famous birthday boy Chip K had spaghetti. Not your ordinary spaghetti. It came in an oil and garlic butter sauce with mint. I had a taste and it was great. Chip's wife Bridget had bow tie pasta with fresh mushrooms and a cream sauce. Also great.
The service was attentive and the bus boy never let the water or the soft drinks run dry. The server was there but not there in a good way. He most probably was one of the better waiters I have ever had. He was almost Zen like in the way he took care of us. Or did he learn that Jedi Mind Meld thing?
My mother-in-law took me and my daughters here for dinner tonight. It was nothing short of fantastic. The food, the wine, and the service were outstanding! Neil gave us fabulous service. I wish we lived here on St. Louis so we could make this our regular dinner spot!
Love this Restaurant. This is a great italian restaurant. Everything is made with the freshiest ingredients with good flavor. i love their pasta is homemade not many restaurants do this. I also love the light sauces more common in northern Italy. My favorite things are zucchini starter, tomato and basil pasta and goat cheese ravioli. The atmosphere completes the experience. The only reason i can't give them a perfect score, i'd like to see the menu items change so i can try different things every time i go.
A little gem.. I LOVE I Fratellini. First, the staff is professional and well rounded; this is because the owner herself (Zoe) is so great. The restaurant is small, intimate and cozy. It seems like heaven when you walk in, garlic, cheese, seafood, and meat...a true Italian treat. It reminds me of a place you would routinely find in New York or San Francisco. Rustic, fresh food. I've had everything on the menu and it's safe to say it's the best of the best. My husband worships the lasagna and they also have great specials, seafood risotto and sometimes a meat dish. The salads and fish are wonderful and the pasta is fresh and sinfully amazing.... lunch is a great deal and dinner is a special treat.

One of my favorite St. Louis restaurants! Cozy but pretty and amazing food!
Best kept secret! Roasted beet and goat cheese salad is amazing! Great place for a date night.
I love the atmosphere-it makes me feel like I'm in a restaurant in Europe... Very intimate. Marvelous attention to detail.
A hidden gem in a quaint neighborhood business district on the outskirts of Downtown, Clayton-- our party of three had one of the best meals at this Italian eatery.
It's a romantic dimly lit space that warrants a reservation, unless you go early in the week. They start you with a pistachio butter and warm bread loaf. Don't fill up on it-- grab an app and just wait for the entree that's to come!!
Unmatched attention to service and detail, the wait staff will make your night out worry free. They predict you next need and still give you time to breath, not hovering over your every bite.
House made pastas with or without meat. Fresh salads with exotic cheeses. A two-page wine list, but why not grab a Manhattan, one of the best your lips will meet!
We let our food settle in and took in the ambiance before ordering and sharing two desserts.
Total for 3 entrees, a salad, a round of cocktails and two desserts: $185.
It doesn't have to be a special occasion to visit i Frattelini!
Five star treatment, along with mouthwatering, delicious, stunningly plated food in a cozy, romantic setting is what you'll find at I Fratellini.
We started our anniversary meal with Champagne and hors d'oeuvres across the street at Bar Les Freres ~ we loved the bright, lush decor, intuitively attentive service, and brilliantly plated food.
At I Fratellini, we started with the Pan Seared Day Boat Scallops that were perfectly cooked, along with more Champagne (table vases had real roses that were cut low enough to not obscure guest's view). Our second app was an off-menu special that consisted of prosciutto and creamy burrata.
We dined on grilled rack of lamb (with grain mustard, herb glaze and escalloped potatoes) and grilled duck breast (with roasted nectarine compote over creamy polenta). We were pleasantly surprised at the reasonable pricing for our dining experience. Thank you Bar Les Freres and I Fratellini for a memorable evening that was a great delight to our senses. We're looking forward to our next meal.
Found my way to I Fratellini while I was in St. Louis for work last week. Easily the best place I’ve been to in St. Louis and will be back. The restaurant is in a gorgeous neighborhood, the food was wonderful, and staff even better. I enjoyed the rack of lamb and had a nice glass of wine, all very reasonably priced for the quality. Can’t wait to return on my next visit to St. Louis!
Simply fantastic. Superb service. Excellent food. Great location. Can't get a better romantic ambiance.
Exceptional service, lovely setting, great food. Had the roasted artichoke appetizer, the lasagna, and the rack of lamb. All were excellent. Nice place for a special occasion.
Excellent food, and the service was exceptional, make sure to save room for coffee/cappuccino/latte/etc to go with dessert!
I have never been disappointed while having lunch or dining at I Fratellini. The food, regardless of what I order, is consistently outstanding! The service is friendly, guests are made to feel welcomed and not rushed. Since it is a small, popular place reservations are definitely recommended. The place I choose to bring out of town guests first.
WE stopped by here on advice from a local friend, while visiting family in town. What a pleasant and surprising time we had at this so-wonderful-all-around restaurant. First of all, the staff was simply great - inviting, kind, and informative. The menu ---and decor'--- was like being in a swank hi-end cafe' in NYC, and surprising in a town as St Louis. Even though we were given a heads-up by the referenced friend - never thought this restaurant would be such a gem... And the food was simply fabulous. I had the Pistaccio crusted trout, she had the lobster ravioli and salad. A+++ / 10 all around. And the prices were surprisingly low for such tasty special meals. I could not finish all the trout, such a huge portion!
If you happen to be in StL or Clayton - make a point to stop by...you will not be disappointed, trust me!
Visited for an anniversary meal while in St. Louis for the weekend. Delicious selection of Italian food with fascinating chef specials. Treated us to some sparking wine and we also enjoyed some of their grappa and amaro. Friendly and engaging wait staff. Our server steered us in the right direction when ordering. Would definitely return. Expensive but a good value for the money.
Excellent food and the service was perfection. We took along our infant daughter since we didn't have a sitter. When the manager saw our food had arrived, He said he'd love to show her around. Her big smile said she agreed. Dining with a four month old can be tricky, but the wonderful manager showed her the ropes of greeting customers. She was a real hit to entering guests. We'd love to go back again, especially baby girl. See their photo in review images.
We enjoyed a fantastic Italian dinner last night. We really needed a break and the restaurant was just adorable. The food was fantastic and our server david did a fantastic job. Highly recommend this place and will be back often.
Tonight was our first dining experience at I Fratellini. I can now say this is my favorite restaurant in St. Louis. The food and service are EXCEPTIONAL. Ended the night with a wonderful cappuccino. Sooooo good! We will be back soon!
I Fratellini has become our go-to place for a nice dinner without the kids. The food is consistently great, though perhaps some dishes could use right-sizing. ($16 for an appetizer of two scallops?)
Highly recommended!
As a local guide and a modern cooking specialist I have been in many many restaurants in the area and this place is just the best! O.M.G. I loved the food, and service and everything! I ordered Pistachio Encrusted Trout and it was just fabulous, I love seafood and this fish was just great! My husband ordered Grilled Beef Filet and he was super satisfied with the food! Service was great as expected in this place. Highly recommend this place!
I Fratellini was an excellent experience. Friendly and attentive staff. A beautiful but cozy warm brick interior and delicious Italian dining. We had the short rib ragú, steamed mussels, lobster tail spaghetti, and tiramisu. All were fantastic.
My wife and I had a great experience at I Fratellini. The food was excellent and our server David did a great job. We will be back and I'm looking forward to it. I cannot say enough good things about I Fratellini.
