Great place with a fantastic owner, snarky bartender and delicious food and drinks! The atmosphere is top notch, and as someone who once lived in New Orleans very authentic! Great music most nights, and whether you want to sit at the bar, the dining room or the patio, you’re bound to have a great experience!

Had the biscuits and gravy. Just right amount of gravy and androuille sausage taste. The biscuits almost melt in the mouth. The jazz band was superb. Waitress was attentive to our needs.

Wow! This has been one of the best creole/Cajun restaurants I’ve been too! Visiting from Texas and having visited several New Orleans restaurants. It was very refreshing finding this place in St. Louis! The drinks alone were very good and strong! I had to to babysit one which I mainly never do. Horney Gator is definitely worth it! The food was seasoned exceptionally well - spices were not overpowering at all. The overall appearance was wonderful. Soulful Music playing in the background set the mood for a jazz/blues mood. Shelly was beyond friendly and pleasant to talk with about our stay. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED will return for brunch and live music during the evening. They have a reverse happy hour after 10pm.

Super cute. I had been here previously for food and drinks and it was good! I just went over the weekend and saw a live band there for the first time. Was so fun! Loved the jazz music. Would highly recommend. Nice place with attentive staff!

First time in last night, had a great experience. Bartender was friendly, professional and fun. Jazz trio was great, requested a few songs and they were really nice. Oh yeah, the food was amazing!!

We had so much fun at brunch! The band playing was great to listen to while we tapped our feet sipping on our Bloody Mary’s. Food was good. We had the classic beignets, red beans and rice, strawberry stuffed French toast and the bacon! We were definitely stuffed! Fun brunch atmosphere in the Central West End!

Love this place!! Don, the owner, was friendly and personable. Lizzy, our server, was fabulous. Our food was delicious. The music was great. The homemade hot sauce was a nice touch. What more could you want. We will definitely be back next time we are in St. Louis. If we lived here we’d be regulars. Thank you for everything Don & Lizzy.

Excellent food, lots of flavor. Gumbo, red beans and rice, seafood, steak, it is always qualify. Steve is a great bartender, who always takes care of the customers. He has also been known to make sure neighborhood folks get home safe. Live music most days, evenings, even at brunch is a nice touch too.

The Bloody Mary's were delicious with shrimp, okra, and olives on a skewer. The jambalaya was perfectly seasoned and delicious. The jazz band was very entertaining.

Atmosphere is wonderful and food is good. I had the shrimp etoufee and it was pretty good. Could have used a little more spice but all I'm all I enjoyed myself. Live music and good food. You can't go wrong.

Excellent food. Not overly spiced. Was here on fat Tuesday and the second bartender no showed. Bummer. Bartender was slammed. The place was packed. They did the best they could. If there’s a band don’t expect to have a lot of conversation of course.

Didn’t know how popular this place was on Sunday brunch time. Thankfully even though we walked in (2 of us), we were able to get a table in about 15 -20 min wait. It was our first time and the vibe of the place was super fun, especially with the live music going on. Food tastes great 👍 and the portions were good too. I think overall the prices were fair. The only negative I have is that the food took a long time and the servers seemed pretty busy as the place was pretty packed.

Loved this southern gem in the Central West End. Even though they were short staffed, the waiter was attentive and very nice. We got the hush puppies, their special chicken gumbo and the jambalaya. All three excellent. The hush puppies were light and tasty. The gumbo and Jambalaya were both a bit soupy but tasted great and they gave us bread to sop up the extra. We were a little surprised at the whole tomato slices in each dish. Never saw that before. The band was trying hard, but I don't think I'm a fan of bluegrass Green Day covers or GunsNRoses. Lastly, I'd skip the Hurricane drink. It just tasted off to me. But do go and try everything else.

A taste of New Orleans in St Louis. We came on the first Wednesday of February to find a dixieland blues group playing a great set. The food offering was right out of New Orleans / MS Gulf Coast with blackened red fish, shrimp dishes, Cajun pasta, etc. See menu attached. Our food came well prepared though my hangar steak special was slightly under. That was quickly and easily rectified. The rest of the food was spot on. Open late and kitchen open to ten, so a rarity I've found in STL except for chain places. Try Evangeline's in STL, you'll be happy for trying it.

Great music, food, drinks and service. I think our server noticed our cheesecake was slightly delayed in coming out before we did (like I said, music was great). When I come back to St. Louis, I will definitely visit again!
