The food and drinks are always very creative and simultaneously approachable. The menu changes seasonally which allows the staff to flex their creativity and technique. I have enjoyed every single thing I have ever eaten or drank at this establishment.
I came back here to celebrate my birthday, and this place was great. Loved the cocktails! The food was amazing, our table shared the lamb croquettes, burger, and snap pea risotto. Our server was attentive and we really enjoyed ourselves.!
Very classy and relaxed setting, the bartenders are masters at making drinks and their fries are to die for. Highly recommend!

This is truly a hidden jem in the STL. Ted the owner has done a top notch job of making this the place to be. So go get an Old fashion, or a Mr. Black. You will love it.
Always phenomenal, I come in often and I never receive anything else. The staff is friendly and knowlegable about any kind of drink you would want, and the seasonal drinks are out of this world.

It's an amazing place for a date. It has cozy and intimate vide that is just lovely. The service was awesome and I got food and drinks in a timely manner. Will definitely be going back. I truly enjoyed my experience.

Stunning bar with fantastic drinks. We didn't eat, but the menu looks fabulous. Bartender was attentive and talented, but never overbearing. Loved it!

Julia and I love this place! We live close and visit weekly. We adore the staff and management! Not only do they serve fantastic cocktails, it's hard to ignore the lengths they go to be hospitable to all.
We stopped here for a round of drinks and a small bite. My partner ordered their old-fashioned, and I had a glass of wine. We shared some olives. The old fashioned was superb and served in a chilled glass. We also really enjoyed the variety of olives we were given. Drinks are pricey, but overall a nice high-end bar.
Came here for drinks only. This place has the most thought out cocktail menu in the city. All their cocktails are intricately built and taste unlike anything I’ve ever had. You can taste the difference here. Their mixologist is an artist. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable and helped us maneuver all the choices. Highly recommended!

FYI for out of town visitors. We were visiting from out of town so we had to take a Lyft to the restaurant from downtown St Louis. It was really difficult to get a ride on a Saturday night, there weren't any drivers out. Took about 30 minutes for a ride.
I had the BEST time at Planter's House! Their steak was sooo good, and the fries were really amazing. I tried a bunch of their fancy cocktails, and they were all really tasty. Oh, and the owner Ted Kilgore was awesome! He was super nice and kept checking on us to make sure everything was good (which it always was lol). You can tell he really cares about his customers. I'm definitely going back again soon!!!
The drinks alone deserve 5 stars. Service was great too. My steak showed up cold and raw, but they fixed the problem quickly. 4 drinks, dinner and dessert for $90. Very affordable.

I came tonight for dinner as I had reservations for two. We came in and they asked if we wanted to sit at the bar. We didn’t want to sit at bar so they sat us in the dining area. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable of the dishes. It was uncomfortable cold in there and it was 40 degrees outside and I don’t think their heat was on. The menu has just a few entrees listed. We both opted for the burger and fries. The burger was good and it tasted really fresh. The burger did not have cheese on it, which is different but still good flavor. We both ordered cocktails and they were good. You can really tell the difference when a mixologist makes your drink. I see why they are known for their cocktails.
We came for cocktails and it was a great decision. They have a portion of the cocktail menu specifically dedicated to “Bob’s Burgers” references.
This place has fantastic cocktails and a delightful atmosphere, making it an excellent choice for date nights. I love both the indoor and the patio.
