These folks could say hey we’re legendary, you’re lucky to be here. They never mail it in. They always hate the attitude like it’s their first week in businesses. They act like they still have to prove themselves. I have an endless appreciation for their commitment to excellence. They’ve earned their reputation day in, day out. Oh and how can you forget the price point? Good luck finding a more clean place. Exceptional value. Great employees, great product, great experience and great value.

I love how you can watch them make the pretzels on site. We got a combo deli sandwich, hot dog and jalapeño brat and some cinnamon sugar ends and a side a frosting. We were satisfied with all except the cinnamon ends. They weren't nasty just not the texture we were expecting. They were a little chewy in my opinion. I was thinking they would be more of a pretzel bite consistency.

This seems to be a recommended stop by the locals. It’s a small shop that is kinda cool. You can see them making fresh pretzels right there in the shop. We got the twist and the cinnamon sugar endz. The twist is good and flavorful, it was not a huge pretzel that many places sell but rather more of a personal size which is perfect. Plus it wasn’t dry like others. But the cinnamon sugar one was just okay in our opinion. It wasn’t special or different from others we’ve tried and was a bit dry but maybe it was just the one time incident. Anyways we did like the visit and thought it was a cool, good and beloved place to visit.

I grew up getting Gus' pretzels and thought it was such a tasty treat- up until I started baking my own pretzels at home. I feel like a shop that makes pretzels all day every day should have a notable flavor, but that just isn't the case. I stopped in most recently on a Friday afternoon maybe 20 minutes before closing. I ordered 6 pretzel sticks to take home to family. They weren't even warm, it was quite underwhelming. The space is cute, located just across the street from the Anheuser-Busch Brewery, which is perfect because beer and pretzels. Pretzels are priced very reasonably and it's neat to see the pretzels be made right in front of you in-store, behind a window. Gus' is a St. Louis tourist attraction, but I wouldn't go here anymore for the flavor.

We had lunch there. Fantastic sandwiches all served on pretzels. Then you can order custom pretzels in any design of your choice.

Absolutely love Gus' pretzels! I really love the cinnamon sugar pretzel as well as the butter & garlic. Their hot dogs are great too. Oh and the ends w/ cheese are awesome. And I love that they sell Fitz's sodas and Ted Drew's ice cream.

Always love grabbing a few pretzels here after work! The line goes fast, the staff are friendly, and the pretzels are amazing! Such a cheap deal too. Last time I went I tried the Salsiccia, it was basically a spiced Italian sausage wrapped inside a soft pretzel, it was delicious! A great snack on the go

Gus' Pretzel Shop = a St. Louis must-visit. My husband who is from the area introduced me to it and what can I say? I am hooked 😉 warm, buttery soft pretzel bites. Our favorites are the garlic butter and cinnamon sugar ones. They also offer delicious brats that are baked into a pretzel - do it need to say more? There is always a line, especially on weekend. You can also purchase it frozen and warm it up at the comfort of your home. I highly recommend this place!

Stop there following a brewery tour and before heading to hang out with my sister for the weekend. I got a jalapeño cheddar dog which hit the spot perfectly. I also grabbed a bag of pretzels for taking with me. They were a big success. Didn’t last the whole weekend as they just kept eating them. Looks like this aunt did great!
