I ordered the veggie hash and the to be or not to be French toast and it was delicious!! I loved all of it! The server was okay. I think she had too many tables but overall she was nice that’s why I gave her a 4/5. Other than that everything else was a 5/5 for me.

We were visiting from out of town. Our wait time was about 45 minutes however a waitress saw our 12 yr old struggling to stand as we didn't bring his wheelchair in due to room. She seates us right away. We all absolutely loved our food choices. The speciality coffees were The King and Queen and they were delicious. Our waitress was friendly, prompt and versed in the menu. She was having some goof laughs with the college kids behind us too! It was such a great atmosphere. Felt very comfortable!

This was our first time eating here, while passing through and visiting the Arch. The whole family loved it! Our party of 5 was seated right away (Thurs morning), our waitress was awesome, and the food was fantastic! Highly recommend the lattes as well, we had a mocha latte and a caramel latte and they were both SO good! The place is really cute and has shopping all around. We will definitely come back anytime we are in the area.

We stopped by for early Sunday breakfast. With 6 people, we got strayed right away. Staff were nice. Our server Brittany was a rockstar. She’s very friendly and helpful. Food didn’t take long at all to cook. Hash brown was my favorite. Parking is street parking. If you are a chess fan, you gonna love this place. Highly recommended.

Just attended a work party here - catering menu is EXCELLENT! The Beef Stroganoff was unreal and the salmon was delicious and perfectly cooked even though it spent an hour in a chafing dish. Wonderful roasted Brussels sprouts and other veggies, too. So impressed and delighted with this place: food, staff, and ambiance were all great. We also saw a large family enjoying what looked like an outstanding breakfast at 8pm - we're going back soon to try it!

Had cheesy biscuits and gravy, added hash browns. Had French toast. Drank coffee and cranberry mimosa. Quick and friendly service, food was prepared well. I wish hash browns were a bit crispier. Everything else was good. Wish biscuits had been split open-the gravy wasn’t my favorite but I can’t say it was bad..just not for me. Would visit again and try some other things.

Service/bartender was amazing with her Almond Joy latte. Huevos rancheros were underwhelming. I’ll be back and try something different.

Food and service was amazing! The best pancakes I've tasted. The meet me in STL skillet was good also. Not much of a meat eater so I got the meat on the side. Mimosas flight was great also. Hostess and Waiter/Bartender was very nice. Even the staff that brought food out was nice and brought everything we asked for. I will definitely be back!

Went on a Sunday morning during a busy time and was immediately seated. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was great. Ordered the Cheddar Drop Biscuits which were fantastic and different from traditional biscuits and gravy. The food came out extremely fast and overall the staff was very efficient. The location was awesome also. Nice area to walk around afterwards to burn some calories off.

I went on a Friday morning and sat outside to have a leisurely breakfast while I watched other people go to work. Kingside is the perfect spot for this. Service was excellent and the burger I had was top shelf.

Great experience at the Kingside diner. Our waiter (tall guy/ curly fro) was excellent and gave great recommendations on food and drinks....the atmosphere was very high energy and cool aesthetics. Visiting from Middle TN and we will definitely be back.

Excellent food and top notch wait staff! This was our first (and hopefully not last) visit to Kingside. There was a wait but the text service made it easy to explore the area while waiting for our table. The staff was kind and so accommodating for our hours of 9. We tried several things including the King Late, The Johnny Cash, Damn Delicious and Strawberry Shortcake French toast. It was all very good. In addition to the great food we left a purse at the table and when we went back they had put it away so we could retrieve it. We all definitely recommend this place and Howe to come back another time when we are in STL.

Great food and beverage selections. Outdoor patio seating in addition to nicely decorated indoor area. Great waitstaff. Only complaint is open hours. Came by on two different occasions only to find they were closed.

Went to the Kingside Diner in the Central West End for lunch. I like getting breakfast for lunch so I ordered “Make Your Move”. It came with two eggs, hash browns, choice of meat, and toast. The scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly with no runny eggs. My hash browns were crispy. For my choice of meat I went with ham. It was a mini ham steak that was grilled in butter. It was exceptional. For my bread I went with wheat toast. The food came to the table hot. They have an outdoor patio but it wasn’t open because it wasn’t warm enough. Parking in the Central West End can be challenging. I recommend parking in the lot across the street on Maryland.

Overall, this place is...okay. The place is only chess themed when it comes to wall art and black and white colors. When it comes to the Food, it was average-good. The sliders were cool, but I wish the food was themed, or at least had names that went with the theme. The drinks were $10-15 and it just felt normal. As far as the service, it was great. The waitress and waiter were both very nice and helped as much as possible finding different options for what to get. The service was very fast and efficient. When it comes to the Atmosphere, it was a bit of a let down. There isn't anything that has to do with chess inside the menu besides little chess piece pictures. The items should be named within the theme. There could also be salt and pepper or condiments containers that fit the theme. They do have an area outside that has giant chess which is cool, but I wish there were chess boards you could bring to the table. What if the food was served on a chess board? They have lots of opportunities here.
