Review Rooster - Saint Louis

Nicki Cornell-Wallace
I went last Sunday to the Grand location in STL! I’d been before as well. On this trip, I decided to try the lemon crapes which I highly recommend. It has a delicious blueberry compote on top! Probably one of the best breakfast dishes I’ve ever had with a side of bacon of course. My servers name was ALINA, and she was amazing! There were three of us, and she was the sweetest thing to all three. My only wish is that I were able to go to the kitchen and actually meet Jesus who I’m pretty sure made my breakfast because it was that delicious! I think this is going to be my go to every single time. Thank you for being so awesome! See you in two weeks. Oh, and let me not forget about this mint lemonade that I had for the very first time! Delicious try it.!

I think this place was an excellent meal and if you go in the morning it is nice and quiet. We got lots of food that was nicely priced and delicious. Some of the best sausage gravy I've had and my friend said it was the best French toast (she got cinnamon roll) she's ever had. Great location near lots of hotels. Well worth the stop!

One of my favorite places to eat when I'm in St. Louis. I was a little disappointed they had changed their menu up and removed one of my favorite crepes but I was able to find something else I liked.

A pretty good and trendy spot to catch some brunch! We came here on our final day visiting the city. Overall the food was good to my taste. If I were to say something about it I’d say that it might be a little heavy on the salt aspect. Our waiter was great though! He was so good to us and checked up on us a good amount too. One thing too add though not a big big deal because I know the restaurant business is always busy and fast moving but maybe after closing I’d recommend cleaning the top of the lights. Especially for some guests that could potentially throw a fit over dust potentially landing on them. See photo below for reference.

A very well-rounded breakfast establishment. They have different food types for everyone. A little pricey for breakfast, but it's a good vibrant spot to enjoy a nice breakfast, lunch, or brunch.

Breakfast is always a delight at Roosters. The staff are friendly and personable. The food is fresh and cooked to perfection. We have been enjoying Roosters for years, beginning with the original location. The stuffed French toast is a meal for 2! It was amazingly delicious.

The food was flavorful (beautiful, fluffy pancakes), and the atmosphere and cocktails were great! I gave 4 ⭐️for the food because my meal came on the cooler side. I’ll be back the next time I’m in town!

We really enjoyed bringing our grandkids here for breakfast. The entree selection is unique and plenty. We were disappointed in my husband's crepe it was missing the egg portion, and the kids' $5.00 chocolate chip pancakes is for only 1 medium sized pancake. Definitely didn't fill up our 7 or 3 yr old. Overall the place was fun, decor is fabulous and the service was great. We'd go back, and order a little differently next time.

This location is so airy and light on the inside. Waiters were very friendly and service was pretty quick. They were very good with our almost two year old. We ordered a Nutella crepe and the southwest style scramble. My scramble was a good sized portion and I couldn’t finish it all. My husband’s crepe was very good but a bit of a small portion. He finished my plate so it worked out, but if you come super hungry might try something other than the crepes. I want to come back to try their pancakes and French toast!

Well worth the wait if you visit during a busy time. Amazing food and service. My pancakes with barrel aged Maple syrup were delicious. The coffee was good. My wife enjoyed the banana nut pancakes, coffee, and sunrise mimosa. We sat at the bar and enjoyed watching the bar staff work together. They had good chemistry with each other as they worked together, serving customers, in such a small area. The facility is very clean and nicely decorated. We will definitely be back during our next trip to St. Louis.

With a high ceiling, cheerful yellow seating, graffiti-type chicken art, and egg-shaped globes on the lights, Rooster has a relaxed atmosphere from the moment you walk in. There's a huge u-shaped community table that was surely a bar in a previous life, along with tables and booths. We've noticed that some restaurants here provide glasses and a carafe of water at every table (or every two chairs along a community table), which is especially nice while you're waiting for a server just after being seated. We had breakfast/brunch here two days in a row - it was that good! Between the two of us, we had the biscuit and gravy, the stuffed French toast (the thickest I've ever seen), and we shared the scramble with bacon, goat cheese, arugula, etc. both days. The scramble is, without a doubt, something we will try to replicate at home.

Rooster offers a nice downtown local experience. I went on a Sunday and Rooster is a great option for any group for a pregame brunch, drink, bite. I got their most popular scramble but would definitely go from a Crepe on my next time in. Despite being very busy the staff were all very friendly and attentive. Will be going back and recommend you do as well!

Brunch was amazing! There were multiple vegan and vegetarian options, as well as traditional meat choices. The food came out quickly, the vibe was on point, and the staff were friendly. We got the veggie scramble, goat cheese/ mushroom crepe and a half order of the vegetarian biscuits and gravy. All was reasonably priced. We didn’t have cocktails but they looked amazing.
