What a cool way to spend a Saturday night. We had the Fish and Chips and the Southern Fried Chicken and Chips. Be warned the chips are their house-made potato chips, they are very good, but not French Frys. They have a good Irish whiskey selection. A $9 Redbreast 12 is a good price. The place was packed, and the live music was very good and just the right volume.

Amazing place they have a gorgeous out door garden area with multiple fountains and ponds. The food is amazing and authentic Irish cuisine. I got the fish and chips and my husband got the cornbeef sandwich. We had a great time.

Great service the waitress was amazing. They were busy and she was better than most at other places when they aren’t even busy. The food portions are huge you get a lot for what you pay for. The food is amazing and the drinks are well mixed. Easily top ten of my food places.

Just what you’d expect from an Irish pub. Food was decent, no wait time on a Saturday dinner time. Music was a little loud (hard to have a convo), but very enjoyable to listen to live Irish music! We were originally seated next to a large dinner party but the waitress was kind when we asked to switch to sit where the live music was.

WELCOME HOME!! As soon as you step through the front doors you will be welcomed home. The staff, food, environment, and drinks were phenomenal. The best part is you don’t even have to be Irish to enjoy the place.

Great apps. Not many wine selections here. The atmosphere is busy. My favorite part is the covered patio area. The largest covered patio area I have seen in the city. Can't say I would be back but my experience was decent.

What an incredible patio. We had a brewery tour and decided not to have lunch at Budweiser plant and figured we’d find something on our way back to our hotel and stumbled into here. The patio is gorgeous and just a perfect place for beer or wine and snacks! Definitely recommend the potato skins!

I visited my family a while back, and we went to your absolutely perfect little pub / food restaurant. I loved every bite of the most delicious salad, tasty soup, and delightful ale. A fantastic place. I so look forward to having another wonderful dinner at John D. McGurks ! Thank you also for such a good variety of menu selections. ❤😀☀️🍺🍜🥗

Stopped in for dinner about 6:00pm on a busy Saturday, glad we got seated right away. Started with yummy pretzel bits with dipping cheese. I had house salad and Guinness stew. Hubby had potato soup and smoked turkey club with homemade chips. All were awesome, very fresh and reasonably priced. Noisy but cool vibe! Highly recommend!

Awesome Irish Pub!!! Very good food. Indoor and outdoor seating. There is TVs and a bar to watch sports. The interior is decorated beautifully. Absolutely a great restaurant to go to!!!

Everything there was phenomenal. The atmosphere was amazing, we sat by the coy pond. It has a fancier vibe, but with little expectation, unlike "classy" places. The food was amazing and perfectly cooked. If you come here, get the cheesecake. It's the best cheesecake I've ever had, and I'm a fairly picky person. There was a bit of a wait, but that's to be expected. I went there once, and it's already my favorite "on occasion" restaurant.

This was my first visit and I really enjoyed the warm homey environment. I ordered the Guinness stew and it was quite delicious and the service was good. I don't drink alcohol, so I can't speak to the quality of the drinks but the people I was with all enjoyed their drinks.

Wonderful environment and fantastic food. Staff very polite and on top of things for the most part. My only complaint would be the woman's bathroom never got a refill of soap or paper towels while my friends and I were there after over and hour when one of us went back there again. That being said, I still highly recommend this place and don't blame the serves for not being able to attend to the restrooms properly due to how busy they were. I love the fact that the band was from Ireland and the experience was one I will never forget. The food tasted amazing and the drinks were wonderful as well. I loved the atmosphere and will for sure be returning in the future. 😁

Good food. Homemade chips are amazing. Beer menu was a little outdated, server was kinda slow, beer sat at bar, came not as cold as could have been. Had to wait to pay. The atmosphere was great outside by the waterfall. Overall , very good.

The food was exceptional! The best Ruben sandwich I’ve EVER had! The meat was so tender! The atmosphere, while very relaxing and eclectic, was a little loud. Our waitress, however, was very inattentive and slow. We had time to go to the bar, order and drink another beer while waiting on her to bring us the ticket.

Nice interior dining and good food, but the back garden is absolutely the best in St. Louis -- so that alone pushes this place to 5 stars. In the spring it simply cannot be beat. There is plenty of seating, so even at peak times you can be seated quickly. If you are only in the mood for a drink, the bar is shaded and has great views too.

Sat outside on the heated patio by the koi pond drinking Guinness. Great atmosphere. The fried fish was great. The pretzels were hard and dense, which is not the same as it used to be.
