The food was really good and the vibe was pretty chill. The food came out relatively quick and it really tasted amazing. I got the American breakfast and the potatoes and eggs tasted excellent. I will say, I got a matcha tea chilled, and I didn’t really like the taste of it, and the tea didn’t mix well with the milk so it was very chalky tasting. It wasn’t unbearable, but I wouldn’t order that drink that way again. Nothing to do with restaurant quality though, I just didn’t like the taste of the drink the way I got it. The pic of the tea is when I first got it, and it wasn’t that bad, but when I didn’t drink it so fast, the tea and the milk separated.

Came here for brunch on a Sunday morning. There was a small line but it moved very quickly. Had the oat milk horchata latte - was incredible! Also ordered the apple scone (tasty) and the mud slinger breakfast - it was excellent, the black bean chili elevates it. The food/drink was all delicious, the only negative might be that the space is a bit small so tables feel a little tight if you choose to sit indoors (it was cold out!). But still recommend checking out. I will for sure be back.

The spinach and mushroom hash was everything!! I absolutely loved that and it was my first time trying dirty chai!! It was so good! Easy 10! I’m definitely going back!

Stopped in here on a whim and was pleasantly surprised!! The French toast was beyond good and more than anything: reasonably priced. Idk what kind of bread they use for the French Toast, but it’s perfect! I enjoyed it along with my Iced Black Tea. I will definitely be coming back.

This is a cute place for breakfast or brunch. The muddy Mary was delicious, and there was limited seating, so getting there around 10 am was perfect. Best French toast in St. Louis. Will definitely return!!!

Mud House is a great neighborhood staple on Cherokee. The oat milk horchata cold brew is something I return to time and again, and I love the funky spin on typical coffeehouse fare here. The bacon scones give me life, and the seasonal gingerbread is the best I've ever had. Hands down.

Great place we really enjoyed eating at on our visit to St. Louis. The food had great flavor, coffee was delicious, and their pastries were definitely worth trying. A little on the pricey side, but in my opinion definitely worth stopping by. My complaint was that we stopped by a second time before heading out and ordered the exact same dish. After getting the dish, there were several noticeable differences compared to our first visit a 3 days before. Scrambled eggs instead of fried, no toast and jam, and way more potatoes than mushrooms in our hash dish. Still had great flavor! After asking the staff, all they said was there had been a change in management. It was just kind of odd, seeing as the breakfast is pricey and toast & jam costs you almost nothing. We also had to argue with another staff member about our pastry - it never came out with the order, and she insisted we didn't pay for one.

I have been on a veggies and eggs craze lately. They didn't have anything on the menu. I asked if they could put some on the spinach and mushroom hash. Thought I would get your typical eggs breakfast. This was delicious!!! I haven't had such a flavorful breakfast in a minute. So glad the owner of the airbnb I stayed at recommended the Mud House for breakfast. My first time in St. Louis and the food.. yum!

Great place for a quick bite or to chill for a little bit. Quaint area with very friendly people, and truly is one of the best breakfast joints in STL.

This is a quaint local family owned small business in the middle of the Cherokee historic business district that caters to the local neighbors and other small businesses . Ordering is straightforward .Place your order and pay for it, and they give you an animal table marker to set on the table outside or inside. The food came quickly and was just the right amount. It's very tasty and filling. I ordered a "Muddy Mary," and my partner had a mimosa. The food I ordered was the American Breakfast, scrabled eggs, roasted potatoes, bacon wheat toast, and raspberry jam. My friend had the bacon breakfast sandwich, over easy egg, bacon, and maple mustard on sourdough. . A very pleasant venue. It reminded me of a neighborhood placefor a great breakfast and a place to get away and "work from home" in a relaxing atmosphere. Bonus, you can get a good cup of coffee and something good to eat. A lot of neighbors came in to get coffee and carry on with their day. I recommend you visit and experience this Cherokee neighborhood gem.
