Very good burgers, fries and malts. I had the triple with cheese, bacon and all toppings except mustard. Dreamsickle malt. Buddy had double with cheese and bacon. No extra toppings (said he should have got all the toppings), kind of dry but still good. He had the strawberry cheesecake malt. Very good!!

Good, affordable, consistent burgers and fries. Reminds me of McDonald’s quality and taste - that’s definitely a compliment. You get a very good amount of food for your $

Our first trip here and I can confidently say it won’t be our last! Val’s truly has great customer service skills, where you can tell you are more than an order, or money coming in. I’m a fan of salty tasting French fries, I’m personally in some trouble if I’m craving a snack of fries! Thank you Val’s for the delicious food today! Our whole family enjoyed it!

The not-so-secret place to go, for people in the know! The deceptively inconspicuous joint has enjoyed a devoted and expanding base for decades. When my college rugby team was in town for a tournament, another Central MN local and I implored everyone to go just two blocks over, to experience a qualitative difference that 'Big Burger' simply cannot offer for Val's competitive price point. I realized then that that is precisely the point of a place like Val's: If you don't appreciate helpful advice from informed friends, you're probably not appreciative enough of your money to get the bang for your buck that Val's offers. Nothing gourmet about this unassuming pop stand, but it's nevertheless 5-star! It's just basic American staples, done right! Yet there's nothing basic about the flavor pallat they accomplish with simple ingredients. Be smarter than Gustavus rugby players, take a chance on stopping in at Val's. And I'll say "I told ya so," but you'll be so happy and contented that you won't care.

I have very little hope you’ll actually grant my request, but someone near and dear to me once gave me some advice which was ‘you’ll never know unless you ask’...well, here I go, I attended SCSU back in the 90’s and since leaving I’ve dreamt of opening my own Val’s one day. I live in a college town in New Hampshire. Would you ever consider some type of franchise arrangement??????? Hooksett, NH
