Deters Frozen Custard

I can't say enough about how wonderful this custard was. They make it fresh daily and I was in heaven. This was the best custard I've ever had. I also enjoyed being able to sit outside and eat it. I didn't see a place where you could actually eat inside, so this could be a problem with the weather at times. The young ladies there were delightful and helpful and very nice to me. This really goes a long way towards making me want to come back to a place. Just go get some and you'll understand. I wish I could eat there again, but I live a few hours away and probably won't be back that way for a long time. If I am ever up that direction, I'm bringing a cooler.

The ice cream was okay, but I didn't think it was 5-star ice cream. I ordered a Mill Creek Turtle Sundae, and it was pretty mediocre. It has very little hot fudge, caramel or pecans. My wife had another sundae, and her experience was close to the same. I also think they need to beef up their napkin quality a little bit. When dealing with little kids and ice cream, the napkins they provide don't exactly cut it!
