This place has gone Down Hill ...Was my favorite they do have Good carnitas and Barbacoa BUT ... Back in the day we would go there early in the morning ( not that early 8 ish ) to get Barbacoa FOR BREAKFAST ... Now they dont open till 9 and even then they dont have anything ready till 11 ??? That really sucks when you live over 30 minutes away ... Luckily Vargas opens early for morning ppl that like breakfast before 11:09 and those that work before 9 am ... And just as good if not better ...

The worst and most degrading experience I ever had at a restaurant. And I didn't even make it inside. I was greeted by the owner as I was attempting to move from one parking space to another. As you know they share a parking lot with another establishment. Before I could completely move to the other space he pulled up and blocked me in and let me know in a very vulgar way to move. I had both kids in my vehicle. And I explained that if he would back up I could complete my parking maneuver as I was still in drive and in between 2 spaces. He then said bc I was a woman I dont deserve to park there.

I stay in Detroit & I drive here ATLEAST 4 times a month.. ATLEAST… Sometimes they see me twice in one week🥴 Depends on how I’m feeling about the drive… Look… If you’ve never had their steak tacos YOU’RE MISSING OUT ON LIFE !! I never understood the whole “Soft corn tortilla” thing, I’ve always had them fried.. My first time trying it was from Maria & let me tell you “I’ve eaten them the authentic way every since” but NOBODY can top Maria’s. The steak is so tender that I can warm my tacos up the next day & it taste like I just purchased it 😮‍💨 & OMG THE CHICHARRONES ARE TO DIIIIEEEE FOOOOR!!! They are legit the ONLY place who makes their chicharrones the way they do with all the meat still on & just to perfection omg! Even places in Mexican town(Southwest Detroit) can’t compare to their chicharrones or tacos! Maria Elenas you guys are the best!! This is most definitely one of Saginaw’s gems!! I swear by them lol & the male workers are ALWAYS nice !! Always !!
