Review Happy Inn Chinese Cuisine - Sacramento

We’ve ordered delivery from here so many times before, and it’s always been our favorite local Chinese restaurant. We already loved it because of the delicious food and amazing portions. Every dish we’ve tried has always been amazing! We decided to go in the other night and check out the restaurant, and we were so satisfied with our experience. The staff is so friendly, and the service was so fast! They really went above and beyond and even helped carry out leftovers out to our car. We have a little one and already had so much to carry, so we truly appreciated them for that! After our visit it’s safe to say we love this place even more now!

Ordered here because it was the only local Chinese food restaurant in the area open past 9:00pm near here in Rancho Cordova. Called in for takeout based on online menus, prices were pretty similar, not sure of the exact numbers. Lady taking my order was friendly, they take down your number as places usually do. Restaurant looked only partially set up for dine in, looks like they mostly get takeout orders these days. It smells somewhat musty inside, probably a testament to the age of the building. They have a lot of cardboard boxes in the back they use for takeout orders as trays/holders for takeout dishes instead of plastic bags. The food portions were fantastic in my opinion, as you can see by my photos. Definitely didn’t feel like the amount of meat was lacking at all. My house special fried rice had about 4 pieces of shrimp which is pretty generous in my experience. Mu Shu Pork had plenty of pork and a good amount of veggies as well. The House Special Fried Rice tasted pretty solid, no complaints. Standard chinese fried rice flavor and nice firm but not hard rice. Came with carrots and peas, which is not my favorite for fried rice but it tasted fine. The Mu Shu Pork comes with “pancakes” but they’re more like tortillas or crepes, which you use to eat the pork in like a taco or hand roll and drizzle with some of the plum sauce if you like. I have not really had Mu Shu Pork and wanted to try something new. This one was pretty tasty and I recommend it. Fairly simple soy based flavoring but with the pancakes and plum sauce it is very good as far as americanized chinese food goes. There was also definitely more of the Mu Shu Pork than could fit in the pancakes so there was some extra to eat with rice. Great balance of meat and veggies in my opinion. The people working there I assume are the owners. The lady in front was friendly. I would definitely come here again if I was in the mood and didn’t want to go all the way to Fortune for Chinese food. I had a menu picture but it got soaked from some of the liquid in the Mu Shu Pork tray I spilled 😅

Best Chinese restaurant you can find in Sacramento, I love their egg and all the noodles. Best value and excellent customer service for a Chinese restaurant. Really recommend the broccoli beef and their fried egg. Will definitely come back again soon. Highly recommended this location.

We really like coming to this place. The food is always very tasty and never over cooked. Prices for what you get are extremely reasonable you get a lot for your money. The staff is always friendly and helpful. We ordered salt and pepper shrimp, spicy garlic sauce vegetables with shrimp and the general chicken combination plate with chow mein and chicken fried rice. Keep supporting local small business like this place 👍

We were pleasantly surprised at this restaurant. We had orange chicken and lemon chicken. I'm used to run of the mill dishes at Chinese restaurants, but this was the best orange chicken that I've ever had. The portions were very large and the staff allowed us to eat, even after their closing time. Thank you Happy Inna

Made order by phone and picked up. They were accommodating for gluten-free, ask for no sauces or wheat with white rice. Did not have any problems.

Big portions. My pork chow mein was amazing. Lemon chicken is some of the best (& gluten-free). I'll be back and try some other dishes. The staff is really nice!

Good quality food and you get a lot for what you order. Ended up with another meal worth of food which rarely happens for me. I did pick up for my order by ordering online via their website (which was super easy to do) but looks like they also do free delivery if you are close and order more food than I did.

Great food, super yummy chow mein! They have big size meals, great prices, ramune and I love how they use cardboard instead plastic bags.

This is hands down my favorite place for Chinese food. The portions they give you are unmatched, I often walk out with over 3 pounds of food in my takeout box. The dining room is very homey, and the staff are welcoming. The food is very good. I always get the orange chicken with chow mein, but I've eaten a number of their other entrees and they are all delicious. I live right around the corner so I always pickup, but the delivery deal is great. Free delivery under 3 miles, or any order over 25 dollars, and the delivery is always fast. Personally, I wouldn't bother going anywhere else for Chinese food if you're in the Sacramento area.

The food was delicious. We had Mongolian shrimp, shrimp fried rice, Kung pao chicken, and cream cheese wontons. The portions are big and great for the price. I like things spicy, so next time I'll ask for hotter. I love the rough cut of the veggies.

Love this place they give you alot of food

Love this place. Honey walnut chicken is deliciously light and crunchy, not overly sweet. Honey walnut shrimp is even better than the chicken! Peking pork is sweet and tender. Sweet and sour chicken is also fabulous! I'm thrilled with each and every item I got today!

We ordered online and they called to confirm a request we had due to dietary restrictions. It felt really good for them to care so much especially since it’s so hard to order online with dietary issues. The food was fantastic as well!! New favorite spot.

The food here comes in good portions and is absolutely delicious
