I would most definitely give this Restaurant a thousand stars + .. this was my first time at this restaurant and. this was by far the best Chinese food I have ever had in my life.. and that is no lie .. They're very clean.. very polite and nice and you can tell that their oil that they cook with is Beyond Fresh.. you can taste the difference. I would absolutely absolutely recommend this restaurant to everybody and anybody that I know...I give this Restaurant 5 Thumbs 👍 👌 😀
Formosa Cafe never disappoints! Dinners C and G.
Great food, Plates A, C, B, was so good. Waitress was very friendly and polite, can't wait to go again!!👍
First impression was just how clean it is. Business is family owned and operated. May, a very sweet and kind person, works the front. May's husband is the best cook. Food was excellent. Only complaint is that they over serve, just too much food. We will have left overs for days. I will be returning going to put Formosa's in our takeout rotation. Thank you for great service and awesome food.
I'm the third generation of daughters that come here. Been eating their food since in the belly still and I'm 27 now. This place used to be my mother and grandmother's favorite restaurant in all of Sacramento. Feeling nostalgic and really missing my momma's, I decided to come in and get our favorite. Two plates of tempura fried shrimp. The wait was fine, the lady in front very kind and sweet. Although, husband in the back who does the cooking was kind of being mean to her. I saw that sir, and I better not ever see that again. Ever. I'm used to the mom and daughter duo that used to Cook and work at this place, I'm not sure if it's under new management or maybe it's been so long the mom and daughter aren't around anymore. Either way, my daughter is 2 now and it feels so good to pass down the tempura tradition to her. 4 generations of daughters eating here, keep up the great work Formosa. You will see more of us ✨
The serve was very nice, their food was good too. Very good price too
I ordered to go it was my very first time there. This place had high ratings so I decided to try them out. You will not be disappointed, let me tell you why..... the quality and quantity is great! You must!! try the War Won Ton Soup. The fried shrimp were ok but I've had better. I ordered combination fried rice no pork it was very good and the portion was huge. So in short, it will not be disappointed at all believe me.
Formosa Cafe is an awesome place to get fresh delicious food. The owner treats you with kindness and love. My husband and I have been going there for years and we have never been disappointed. Her Peking beef is made with tender beef that just melts in your mouth. And Her Egg Flower soup is the Best in Sacramento!!! We feel comfortable eating there, as if we are having dinner with family!!! And lets not forget about May's mother who works there too. She is just adorable! She has always made us feel like family!! If you want Asian, awesome tasting food, come to Formosa. I promise you won't be disappointed. I forgot to mention that the amount of food that you get is so much that you will be taking home leftovers!!!! This family style restaurant is a must visit if you're in Sacramento!!! One other thing I must mention. We celebrated my husband's 50th birthday here and we were so happy that we did.
The food at this restaurant is absolutely amazing But when it comes to Paying for your food I would keep a close eye on the person that's running the register they get confused at some times.
This is one of the best places to go for Chinese food. The service is great, it's a mom & pop store, and they really do use quality ingredients. The food is made fresh and they even make their own pot stickers. The War Wonton Soup is very tasty and if you like hot & spicy they can do it. They even made me Peking Duck, which was very tasty.(Had to order in advance.)
