Review Banh Cuon Tay Ho Restaurant - Sacramento

My favorite Vietnamese Restaurant. I have been going here since 2015 and it never fails. My favorite is the Flour Sheet Plate and their dipping sauce is so good. I love how they keep a whole pitcher of sauce on the table as well. We have also catered their banh cuon as well and it was a hit in our party.

Service and atmosphere are typical Vietnamese pho shop service and atmosphere so nothing to expect. We ordered Bun Rieu, Bun Bo Hue, Banh Canh Cha Ca and Ho Da Lanh. The taste of these dishes are relatively bland. Not bad but lack of the punch that I am looking for. Bun Bo Hue is the best among all four dishes that I ordered.

The real location for Vietnamese food. Many varieties of food choices that you won't find in other Vietnamese restaurants.

Coming from a Vietnamese, the food here was flavorful and as authentic as you can get outside of Vietnam. I tried the bún gà nướng and bánh cuốn đặc biệt. Very happy with both. Big plus that they have fish sauce bottles on the table because I like to use a lot of it in my food.

Everything we ordered was delicious! Definitely a 5/5! Everything came out quick.. I got the #11 banhcuon. Definitely surprised at how much food came out on one plate.. maybe next time I'll take half to go 😂. Definitely recommend this spot.

Great customer service, the food is fantastic and are re-opened for indoor dining. My favorite is the #12 Banh Cuon platter filled with ground pork and black mushrooms with Viet pork roll (sliced) on the side. My daughter had the 44a, Broken Rice platter with BBQ pork which comes with a small bowl of broth on the side to sip.

Super good banh cuon with big portion sizes! Their menu is huge, one of the biggest I’ve seen. They have pretty much all the Vietnamese food you can think of! The service is good and the food came out pretty fast. I’d come back and recommend them!

Decent to good. Banh cuon is one of my favorite dishes so I might be biased. Grilled pork didnt have almost any char on it (which is what is supposed to make it good). $76 for 5 dishes, no drinks. Would recommend at least a visit if you're into this kind of food. Service was not great as the place was mostly empty and they had us sitting forever without coming to get our order (unusual for Vietnamese places). They brought our food out separately and I got my plate at LEAST 10 minutes before the next plate came, then another 5 minutes before the rest came out. My food was 100% cold by the time everyone could eat. Indoor and outdoor dining as of now.

This place does it right and being vietnamese and a chef, I know. The food is prepared properly and served fresh. Service is quick and price point is extremely affordable. Have been several times and happy every time!

I actually enjoyed my experience here. Service was quick. The bun rieu oc was actually pretty good and not overly stinky with shrimp paste like some places. The banh cuon combination is nice, I like their fried shrimp cake (banh cong?). Not the cheapest vietnamese food places but the restaurant was renovated and looks decent. Eggroll is subpar though, but only $1 extra, I think. Total was around $28 no tip yet.

The portions are huge here so don't let your eyes decide what your stomach can handle. Their special plate is perfect if you want to try a little bit of everything. Lychee lemonade was bomb as well. Vegetarian options as well as vegetarian sauce are available. They have a big menu so it's great for a large group where everyone can get something different.

Seems like very authentic Vietnamese restaurant. Only a few people can speak English but all of them are kind. I ordered Bun cha? It was No.38 which is Vermicelli noodle with egg rolls and BBQ pork. It was pretty similar taste I tried in Vietnam. It has a little distinctive pork smell but taste legit. My partner order chicken Pho which is healthy taste.

Omn nom nom all day long! Really haven't tried everything yet, but working on it. Plate 11 is the Banh Cuon Combo that has everything - my go to - yummers, I'm into all of that though. Huge fan of the sweet potato shrimp chips. Accidentally ordered a tray of 20, did not mind the mistake. Just came in today and noticed new menus and price increases. Still worth it.

Always go here for dinner with my mom. Banh cuon is their speciality. Always good, haven’t had any bad experiences or service here. I usually order their combination number 11 and either their number 5 deep fried yams or number 8 banh beo.

Easy parking. Got welcomed and seated right away. But we have to grab the menu ourself, had to ask for water, seated for 8 minutes with no one come to take our order so we had to wave at one of them to come. Food is good. Clean place.
