Review Lou's Sushi - Sacramento

Obsessed with this place. VEGAN rolls everyone!!!! And... they are, hands down, the best vegan rolls I've ever had. The fresh toppings and sauces are drool-worthy. And don't get me started on the vegan secret tofu. I about screamed out loud in excitement at first bite. Plus, the waitress turned me on to a cooled! peach sake on my last visit during one of Sac's 105° nights. So worth it. So fun. Great service. Cute corner restaurant with patio lights and outdoor seating with a huge picture window so you can still watch the chefs at play. I bring all my friends here.

Formerly lou's. Their new name shouldn't turn you away from going here. The sushi is fantastic. They have a lot of creative and fun options. Love the huge selection of vegan options. Don't forget about their happy hour. Tips: Have your whole party there before you put your name down. Take advantage of the happy hour menu Order all your sushi or dishes at the same time

My favorite favorite sushi restaurant! They have amazing sushi rolls and the salmon lomi is divine! I especially love all the vegan and vegetarian options here though. Most sushi restaurants don’t excite me with their veggie options but this place, without a doubt, will not disappoint. We recently took our fish loving friends here as they are trying vegan eating this year and they were skeptical to say the least. From the first bite of some vegan rolls however, you could see they were amazed and surprised. By the end of the meal they shared how they loved the restaurant and were thinking of going back the next day with their kids. Some of my favorites are the veggie zigzag, veggie Irishman, veggie #1, can you dig it roll, and the famous Javis. Oh, and you have to try the secret tofu! ‘Mmmmm! I think I’m gonna have to go here for dinner now!

Midtown sushi is out of control! Every single time I go there I try something new, it's fresh, it's divine, and it blows my mind with flavor. They do all day happy hour on Sundays and Tuesdays. I recommend anything on that menu to really explore some new flavors. Be warned, during to happy hour times this place is packed to the brim. Have you my absolute favorite things to order at this restaurant are the barbecue albacore, the Smokey Robinson roll, the Irishman, the Midtown roll, and Anything from their vegetarian and vegan selections if you cannot or don't eat meat. Oh man, how could I forget they have these portobello mushroom fries that are to die for! So glad I didn't forget to mention that during this review. I apologize for the picture of attaching with this review, I could not help myself petite most of the role of for I finally remembered to take a photo for this view. Haha. Once you taste their food you understand why it's so hard to wait.

Pretty amazing vegan options for a Japanese restaurant! Vegan tempura is hard to find. The Benjamin Button roll was very interesting. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable.

This place used to be called Lou's. It so delicious! Half the menu is vegan and the spot has won multiple awards for their vegan sushi. Make sure you go early because there are often waits. The happy hour is great and Tuesday is all day happy hour. Parking is in a neighborhood which can make it challenging. Overall, awesome spot.

We ended up going there twice in 2 weeks because the selection of sushi was amazing! A lot of vegan choices to choose from. I highly recommend "Mount Fuji"!

Love this place. I go here regularly. Faves are OMFG, Simple Simon, Seafood Nachos, 6 Item, Chuck Norris, Irishman. Haha, pretty much can't go wrong. BBQ salmon during happy hour whenever that comes back is delectibile.

Update: this place is still amazing even through all the changes. We recently stopped by to eat in the patio and had a great time. There was less exotic types of fish and nigiri, but still had my other favorites on the menu. They are open during COVID for take out or dine in on the patio outside, it was recently expanded to have more people. Rice is the chef that we like the most, anything he makes is amazing. This is the best sushi restaurant I have ever been to in my entire life and I’ve been eating sushi for over 12 years. Their baked mussels are literally the best food I have ever tasted, not to mention their eel sauce is the best. Their sushi nachos, omfg roll, Irish man roll, and various nigiri are my favorite. You have to stop here if you even just drive through, they also carry the best uni. This place was formally Lou’s sushi but just has a different name now, midtown sushi. Great prices and even a vegan menu for those with other dietary needs.

Cool local sushi place with friendly staff, a cozy patio, and nice rolls. The attention of the wait staff is above average even when they seem really busy. The interior is small and not open for dining right now but they have about 8 or so tables outside along the sidewalk patio. The selection of rolls isn't as extensive as some other sushi restaurants but the rolls they do serve are yummy. And they have a variety of vegan/veggies rolls too. For the no-fish rolls I like the Veggie Midtown, which has a nice crispy crunch. With fish, I like the M-n-M and Roy G Biv. Yum!

My wife and I came her for a night out and we had a great time at Midtown Sushi! There was a little bit of a wait but nothing too long. We had the seafood nachos, the OMFG and Daniel my Son and everything was great! We definitely will be coming back again

The place is small so expect a little bit of a wait sometimes, but I love it here. I’m vegan and by far they have some fun tasty vegan rolls that are much fancier than the typical carrot, cucumber and avocado. They are creative and super delicious. Highly recommend to any vegetarian or vegan or even people who eat fish, I hear their fish taste pretty fresh. The staff also was really friendly
