Best spot for a beer in the Sacramento area by far. The locals as well as the staff are very welcoming. One of the better tap lists around and plenty of beer to go.
A must stop if a hop head in the area.

I can’t leave an actual review as we went and found out it was not kid friendly once there. The atmosphere was good, staff friendly. I just want to let people know, not kid friendly and no heaters outside, so not the best place if you want to be outside. I wish I had asked if they are dog friendly, but I forgot.

Always have a great selection on tap, even for someone like me that's not a big beer fan. Always have at least one cider, and a few great sours!

It's a hidden gem! Im here as I write this review on Sunday night and I still a cool crowd of about 15 tucked in the back bar area. I had a "Lead Dog" #15 Orange Wheat Hazy Weizen Beer. It was light and not harshly bitter, for those of you who are Novice beer drinkers like myself. The tender did allow me to try a small taste to see if I liked it, which I did!! There's 3 tv spread throughout the bar btw.. I'll be back 😎 Cheers 🍻

Capital Tap room is a gem nestled in a nondescript strip mall near downtown Sac. Inside you’ll find a good selection of craft beers for sale as well as 20 drafts for on-site consumption. I was lucky enough to be able to grab Pliny the Elder when I visited, however, your mileage may vary.
For cider lovers, this may not be your cup of tea although they did have one cider on draft as well as a few varieties in their bottle shop.
One thing important to note, they do not have food available aside from some beer snacks for purchase. The good news is that they’re totally open to one bringing their own food in.

Pretty good selection of beers on tap, but it always takes me a while to pick the perfect pour, and they kick the keg on my favorite every time I'm there. The bottle selection is large. Currently the space is under construction, but don't let that deter you! This post weekend they hostess a bottle signing with Adam Corolla, pictured. With checking out if you're in the area!

Best tap room in Sac. Happy hour all day Sunday. Staff know their beer. Great bottle selection too for on site or to-go. Parking suqs so ride a bike. Order food from adjacent restaurants eat it in the tap room. Don't be a Jabronie. If you have to ask, you might be one.

Great place to grab a craft brew on the patio with some free pretzels. Even though they don't serve food outside food is welcome. There are plenty of restaurants around cap rap to grab take out from.

Huge selection of beer on tap as well as bottled and canned beer. The taps do rotate so always expect something different. Staff is very nice and very knowledgeable. Food isn't served here but they do have snacks and you can also have food delivered here or bring your own. Would definitely recommend this taproom to any craft beer enthusiast.

My favorite tap house. Love the vibe here the people are nice, and the beer is nicer. They have a ton of selections, if you like sours, this is the most extensive collection I have found anywhere around here with beers brought in from all over the place, and local ones, many times, on tap.

Great beer at a fair price that is always rotating out. Also the bottle shop is great that you can run in grab what you want and enjoy at home. Usually we will grab pizza at pieology and bring it over and eat while we drink draft beer.

Good variety of craft beers on draft, and a nice selection of canned and bottled beers in the fridge. Very knowledgeable staff. Brewmasters from local craft breweries will often hang out here and are great to chat with.

Visited after work on a Wednesday. Located in a newer strip mall with a large Safeway and an interior courtyard area where Capitol Beer and Tap is located. I parked on the Fair Oaks Blvd side of the building, and there seemed to be easier parking on that side. Three areas, narrow room with the bar and draft, narrow bottle shop, and a large patio area. Bar has 21 beers on draft, available as full or 5 oz pours. Selections with well chosen locals and rare national craft. Which I would have had time to have a beer, as the list was impressive. The bottle selection is smaller, but the quality is handpicked and crazy. I had not seen Heater Allen and 3 Fonteinen on shelves in a long while. Service was superb, great conversation and recommendations.
