Review Juno's Kitchen And Delicatessen - Sacramento

The best sandwich I’ve had, and I’ve had a lot of them. I think it’s the bread, it’s perfect. It keeps the sandwich from being soggy, it’s crispy and flavorful. Also the woman selling the sandwiches is a ray of sunshine if you’re there because someone you love is in the hospital nearby.

My nephew brought me here, and I’m not exaggerating when I say they have the best Banh mí sandwich I have ever had. Always fresh and made from scratch, the lady that’s upfront is super friendly and helpful. They are pet friendly and have the best treats for dogs too. Costumer service taken to the next level. Thank you.

I’m going to have to say … it’s worth the hype. Junos in east sac takes sandwiches to the next level. Ordered the special … it happened to be my favorite; chicken bacon arugula aioli on sourdough. Highly recommend. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever had … it sounds crazy because it’s “just a sandwich!” but honestly, I’m impressed. No dine in here.

I had a tasty Banh Mi they did not have pork, so I had chicken. I got the salad, which was fine, but everyone that ordered after me asked for the delicious potatoes. So I ordered the wrong side. Overall, great service and food.

Juno’s is one of the best sandwich shops in Sacramento. Their eggplant sandwich is to die for. Oh and the owner is the sweetest :) highly recommend coming here for lunch. Note that they close up shop once they run out of bread. Also note that there is no seating inside or out (I hope they can put some tables and chairs outside!).

Juno's is a gem on J St. They have a small menu, and they execute it perfectly. Between the sandwich selection & their signature entrees, you can't go wrong. Our go-to lunch is sharing the banh mi with the salad and a side of the potatoes. You've got to get the potatoes. To top it off the owner is an absolute sweetheart.

Fantastic sandwiches! I had the panko-crusted eggplant and it was amazing. Highly recommend!

Eggplant sandwich was so tasty! And I buy a loaf of incredible bread whenever I go, which is often.

Who else spends 20 plus minutes trying to find your next meal? I wanted a sandwich and salad and came across Juno. I was reading the reviews and was sold by the photos, the place is tiny, but they have outdoor seating with umbrellas. The person working the counter (who I assume was the owner) was amazing. I would give this place 5 stars based of his service. He was very attentive, friendly, came outside and constantly checked on the customers, chatted with them, and was really on top of making sure everyone had what they needed. Now for the food.....Oh my gosh. I got the smoked trout sandwich, and i'll get it again. It was heavenly!! Apples, arugula, manchego cheese & aioli. My mouth waters just thinking about that sandwich. It was served with a very small side of potatoes which were extremely tasty. I also got the Kale Caesar salad, tt was perfect, full of flavor. You think ehh a salad, but No... this was so much more. So many amazing flavors bursting in your mouth, I took the remains of my salad home and it made a perfect dinner. It tasted just as good, and did not get soggy like most salads do. Kale Yeah! Plenty of parking on the street. I can't wait to go back and try the Banh Mi and the Membrillo & Jamon.

I ordered the Banh Mi and it was a fantastic take on the sandwich! The pickled veggies were a highlight. Highly recommended!

Juno's is the BEST. We followed chef Mark Helms from his last restaurant to his new location. Everything Mark makes is cooked to perfection and I've not ordered anything I haven't absolutely loved. I love the pasta dishes (try the rock shrimp mac 'n cheese); the sandwiches are totally awesome, too (he bakes bread fresh every day). If he's got quinoa salad as a side, you'll have to make a hard decision: best quinoa salad ever, or his totally scrumptious fried potatoes. Did I mention the cheesecake? Heaven. (Don't know how to change the review to "really likes it".)

Wow. We stopped here because the restaurant we were headed to was closed 2-5pm on a weekday. Yelp had 4.5 stars, so we gave it a try. WHAT A GEM! This place has fresh, fantastic food in and unpretentious atmosphere, and great service. The prices are fair for the 5 star food we received. I had the Rock Cod which was better than I ever imagined, my partner in crime had a burger...he claims, "one of the best in Sacramento". They have a very small, tiny location, but the most amazing food. We are definitely going back.

East Sac Delight!. Had my first of what will be many meals at Juno's tonight. The food, from a mouth-watering menu, is incomparable. The entire staff is welcoming and attentive, happy to answer any questions.
With lots of specialty sandwiches, soup, salads, and pasta, this neighborhood gem is a must try. Hint: it's not a very big space, but lends itself well to takeout. Happy dining!

More than a typical neighborhood joint. Juno's kitchen serves up superb sandwiches, salads, and more in a casual hole-in-the-wall location that is better suited for take out than dine in, but this did not keep us from squeezing in to enjoy lunch that was served with friendly attention. My husband and I shared the burger and green salad and came away full and happy. The burger was generous in size and flavor, presented on a home made bun and beautifully garnished. The green salad was also a nice surprise. Lots of variety of very fresh greens tossed (not drowned) in a simple vinagerette. Light and tangy. Juno should do very well in East Sac. Fresh and creative menu items that should satisfy the foodies, with excellent pricing and unpretentious service. A winner! We'll be back.

East Sac Delicious!. Wagyu burger with manchego cheese, grilled onions, pesto aioli on a ciabatta bun made from scratch- Check.
Turkey sandwich on baguette made from scratch- Check.
Caesar salad that smells so good you know exactly how it is going to taste - Check.

If you haven't been, go. Juno's is absolutely worth it! If you aren't in East Sac then making the trip is something you will be glad you did. Great attention to detail, local ingredients, thoughtful ingredients all make for some of the best food in East Sac, heck, Sacramento!

Over the weekend, I visited another restaurant participating in the Sacramento Vegan Chef Challenge, Juno's Kitchen & Delicatessen on J Street in East Sacramento. Juno's is mostly a sandwich shop, so, not surprisingly, the vegan dish they're offering this month is a sandwich. Served on their excellent sourdough roll, the vegan sandwich includes roasted red peppers, shiitake mushrooms, caramelized onions, wild arugula, and heirloom tomatoes, with white truffle oil and a balsamic reduction. Each sandwich comes with a choice of mixed greens or Juno's fantastic roasted mixed potatoes, dressed with olive oil, sea salt, and herbs. You can see in the picture below which option I chose! Juno's is located at 3675 J Street, and their telephone number is 916-456-4522. Their website address is http://www.junoskitchen.com/ and their Facebook page can be found at https://www.facebook.com/pages/Junos-Kitchen-Delicatessen/219146298151944 . The restaurant is open for lunch Monday through Friday from 11

The mac and cheese was one of the better mac and cheese’s I’ve had in the city (still not over what I got at 58 degrees and holding). The mac and cheese sauce was thick but the cheeses weren’t as pronounced as I would have liked. Overall, I would definitely come back here and try one of the other sandwiches.
