I love it! The food always tastes fresh. Get a lunch combo for the best value at $9.99. it comes with an entree, fries and drink. The fish taco is tricky to eat. Don't try to fold it up immediately and eat it because you're going to make a big mess. It needs to be eaten with a fork/chopsticks first like a salad. Then after eating about half of the yummies, you can fold it up and eat it. 😁

The Ono was super good. I will be back to try their fish tacos. It was a cool place. Liked the vibe of the place and the outdoor patio area. Fish was good and it wasn't over seasoned. Taco salad was alright. It had too much stuff going on for me.

Second time here. Been craving fish tacos and calamari since San Diego and these are pretty awesome. This is slowly becoming my new favorite lunch spot. Next time I'll try the fish taco mountain, which is the same but on brown rice. Yum!

Great place to have a healthy fish taco that is colorfully delicious and savory. The cost of this extraordinary meal is above fast food pricing, however a healthy choice like this can be what the doctor ordered.

Although i cant eat fish because of allergies, i was told by my guest that it was really good and the fish was good quality. I myself ordered chicken over brown rice and can assure you it was excellent. If you are trying to be healthy and like/can eat fish, I highly suggest this place. I am looking forward to their endless shrimp options.

Nice casual dining spot with Hawaiian theme and outdoor and indoor seating near a park in midtown Sacramento. Had a decent piece of macadamia encrusted Mahi Mahi, a heaping plate of fish tacos and some cold beers. The only thing that was irksome was this place makes the counter staff double as food runners, but they are not allowed to serve as actual waiters.This creates confusion, as they happily bring you your freshly prepared plates from the kitchen, but you have to go back inside to fetch your own utensils. They bring you your beverages, but refills, have to be ordered back up at the counter. I always wonder why management makes compromises like this that potentially lower the final check because the 'food runner' can't take orders for drinks & dessert items and the diners don't want to break up their meal conversation to head back inside to wait in a line to order.

BEST fish tacos! Grilled, not fried, staff are super friendly and very knowledgeable. Clean restaurant and restrooms. Expensive but the 2 tacos are a good size, filled me up. The decor is very beachy, loved it.

Authentic Hawaiian vibe mashed with downtown beauty brings us Coconuts Fish Cafe, expect to pay a little more than you would normally, this place is definitely quality over quantity, as it should be. If you're a shrimp lover this is the place to be.

Fish tacos are really good, sauce is excellent. Love the combination of flavors and textures. Nice clean place. Service was fairly quick. Cool surf vibe. Parking in this neighborhood can be a little tricky. Great place for lunch, especially if it is walking distance.

I had never had fish tacos before since to me, I could not fathom the thought of combining fish and tacos. I was so glad this place proved me wrong. Food was delicious and so was Ace Pineapple Cider/beer. I had 2 drafts it was that good and I don't care for beer. I'm so happy that I can find Ace Pineapple Cider in my nearest grocery store. Service was excellent. Loved watching the tv's which were broadcasting Hawaiian beaches and surfing. The owner was so warm and friendly. Great place. Can't wait to go back again.

Excellent service and the food is great!! As an appetizer my fiance and I shared Calamari which was the best we've had in quite some time. As for entrees I had the fish tacos, my fiance had the Ohno over rice and we shared some onion rings. Both meals were absolutely delicious and the portions are just right. We will definitely be back again!

The food is very good. Fish is fresh and flavorful, and dishes are well prepared. Nice ambiance, but there is too much background noise to feel at all like you are in Hawaii. The place was clean, line short, and food came out quickly. One star off for being a bit pricey for the food quantity.

For $10, the lunch specials are a great deal as they come with a fountain drink and they are quick. I had fish and chips...one decent size triangular piece of fish, cole slaw, and plenty of fries. Very tasty! The tacos looked good too, a coworker enjoyed this option.

We ate at the Coconuts in Maui and wanted to see if the food was good at the Sacramento location. it was! The food came out super fast, it was fresh, and delicious. The kids menu is really nice for bringing along the little ones. The fish and chicken tacos are awesome! The taco mountain, which comes with rice instead of a tortilla, is delicious. You leave here feeling full, but not like you ate too much. They have outdoor seating in front of the restaurant. On a nice day, it makes for a perfect meal. I would highly suggest stopping and checking this place out.
