Golden Rooster Restaurant

Ok, I may be biased as I'd consider the Rooster my local, but there's a good reason I'm drawn to it. The food is consistently fresh and always tasty. Everything is made from scratch and tastes like home. Staff are all super friendly, and there's always good company to be found at the bar. Above all, it's a proud locally owned business and has worked hard to deserve the support it gets from the community. Undeniably the best place in Saco for breakfast, and they serve lunch and dinner too.

Fantastic local dining for affordable prices. Bacon and tomato eggs Benedict with home fries was perfectly prepared and only costs $9. The coffee is hot and warm and often refilled. The crepes and pancakes were a big hit for the sweet tooth lovers. Service was good, fast and casual. Highly recommend.

Service was fast and efficient!! Food was delicious the corned beef hash was The real thing not doctored up canned stuff, the coffee was good and the home fries were cooked and there were some yummy crunchy one they had great seasonings on them very flavorful we will be going back!! Wait staff were very helpful and right there if you needed or to check if you needed something but they didn't hover!!!

We were frequent customers, not any more. We had our name on the list and was waiting to be seated. After about 20 minutes an opening came up at the bar. We go to sit as it has always been first come first serve all the time we have been going there. The hostess who was seating people automatically asked another couple if they wanted to be seated at the bar.. really? This is not the first time she has done this to us. Supposedly the other couple was first before us, great but what happened to the first come first serve at the bar? Believe me we don’t mind waiting, but don’t skip over us! Anybody reading this, a great alternative is All Day Breakfast!

While visiting the Old Orchard Beach area, me and my girlfriend stopped by Golden Rooster for a quick bite. We each had buffalo chicken and fries. The chicken tenders were small and just okay. However the fries were very good and probably the best i had in the area. I am only giving this establishment 2 stars because they gave us 3 sides plates and all were very noticeably dirty. Our waitress was nice and the staff were friendly. Overall I’d give the Golden Rooster a 6/10.
