Very nice, reasonably priced cafe in the middle of Rye. Poached eggs were the perfect side of runny, scrambled eggs were great and the cake (who says you can’t have dessert with brunch?) delicious. Friendly and helpful staff and easy to pay. Perfect

A friendly and relaxed oldie wordie coffee shop, with lots of books around the walls. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The coffee tasted excellent, pity the cup wasn't bigger. I had pitta bread and hummus with salad, which was very nice, and other family members had cakes, all were good. I have given it 4 instead of 5 stars, as the pitta bread and hummus was near to £8 for one cut bread and a pot of hummus, but I guess that is the norm now-a-days.

Had a delicious Welsh Rarebit with salad garnish and home made salad dressing. My wife went for the Bacon sandwich which she said was also delicious. I didn't get to try any of the Bacon sandwich so assume it was indeed delicious. The Girls in there were all friendly and helpful. And the prices were good as well. I would thoroughly recommend "The Apothecary" of you find yourself in Rye with an appetite or even just fancy a coffee.

We thought this looked good so went in for coffee and cake but the first question I always ask is "What gluten free cakes do you have?" They were sorry that they didn't have any that day so we found another cafe that had a choice of GF lemon or chocolate cake so we went there instead. The Apothecary has such good reviews that I still have it 4 stars but it would be great if they always had at least one gluten free option. We would try again if we were in the area but maybe phone first to check

Best cake selection. We tried carrot cake it was delicious especially without the icing (gone in seconds hardly took any pictures). Cafe has an amazing feel to it and run by friendly staff mostly women. When is Rye, do stop for a bite especially cakes.

Great place to eat and drink good coffee, the apothecary coffee house is in the heart of historic town of Rye and boasts a cozy warm feel with seating and service to match. This is a must when you visit Rye…hope you enjoy the pictures 😎x

I truly believe these are the best scones I have ever had!!! Must go here in Rye! Plenty of jam and cream given - relaxed atmosphere with great staff. So reasonable priced - also had a sausage sandwich on fresh white bread - defos go for a quick bite.

Lovely cafe, postcard like setting from last century with old bits of decoration all around. Worth a visit just to see the place but when a cafe does good coffee like they do, it really becomes an enjoyable, relaxing experience. Truly worth a visit

Now a coffee house on multiple levels and nooks and cranniecompleye with original creaking floorboards. Loads of character just like the town. If your a visitor especially foreign you get a true taste of old England just like the town. Definitely one to see. Park by the roundabout as you come into town and across the road there are steps up to the high street.
