Review Kob Jai Thai Restaurant - Russellville

Delicious Thai food! Love everything I’ve tried. The new special, Philly cheesesteak egg rolls, are worth a try. Pho, pad Thai, chicken on a stick, and brisket are just a few of our favorites! Definitely a good place to eat.

Tried this place because my daughter is going to school in Russellville next year, and she loves Thai food. She ordered the Pad Thai....chewy chicken, ok at best. The curry is made with frozen soup mix vegetables (green beans, carrots, potatoes, corn, and peas) and is very, very thick...like gravy. It tasted like a spicy pot pie with rice in place of crust. It was not good...at all. When we went to pay, I gave the employee my card and said nothing. She asked "how was everything?" I said, "it was ok, not my favorite. I didn't like the frozen vegetables." She said, "everything is made to order, don't order it with them." I said, "well, I didn't know they would be frozen...the menu says that it's made with potato and carrot, which I would expect." "Well, it's made to order, so just get it without vegetables." I said, "then it would be chicken and gravy". To which she raised her voice and said, "everyone has their own opinion, sooo." Wow!! Incredibly rude. Don't ask "how was everything" if you can't handle the answer!!! Lousy food, RUDE staff!

Forgot a pic but had brisket tips, fried rice and couple spring rolls. Very big portions and really wonderful food and service. Will return.

I was glad to find a restaurant with vegan options in Russellville. I was surprised they still were not offering dine in options in November, but I had the order delivered to the hotel so that worked out fine. I ordered medium spicy and it had an excellent spice factor and good flavor. I didn’t like how they did the tofu, it was a little slimy and there were not very many vegetables. I didn’t like the sauce that came with the spring rolls but I just used some of the sauce from my entrée. Good portion size. Really 3.5 stars

Fantastic food! And great crew of people too! I never leave reviews but this place deserves it. My new favorite spot to eat. 100% recomend anyone.

My fiance and I order from here quite frequently! Their pad thai is to die for and my fiance orders the brisket special with sticky rice! You can't go wrong with anything you order though! It's all SO good! I don't have enough good things to say about it!

I love the food here, I generally call in my order and they get it ready pretty quickly. Very friendly staff. I eat here almost every time I'm in Russellville for work.

I would rate it 5, but at the moment the service is underwhelming. I expect that to get better over time though. At any rate, the food is just as good as it used to be. The eggrolls are addictive, and the dipping sauce just turns them into fried crack at that point. I got the beef laap--by far my favorite dish on the menu--and it was just as wonderful and as savory as it used to be (I suggest it--also, get it Thai Hot, so you can really experience the flavors). My rice choice was the standard sticky rice, which is always phenomenal. These guys always do it up great, and it's good to see what was once--if temporarily--a Russellville staple return to the scene. I'll change my rating when I see the service get better. Also, definitely need to get a permit to sell beer and wine within the next year or two. Nothing like a good cold beer with some "Thai Hot" food.

Soooooo good! Service is great! Food is outstanding! And they are always so accommodating when you want a dish custom made. This is homemade Thai food, made from the owners own recipes. Not all Thai food will taste the same, the same as not all southern cooking will taste the same. I feel like this restaurant is a great mix of traditional Thai and American Thai so there is something for everyone, even if someone doesn't like ethnic food. They even have steak!!!!

My husband and I had the marinated ribeye. It was fantastic. Definitely the best in Russellville. Very tender and incredible flavor.

Sweet people and great Phad Thai! The beef egg rolls are the best I've ever had and certainly the best in Russellville.

By far the best curry I've ever had in my entire life. I've tried a lot of curry in my day, and their Gang Ga Ree was the best thing, and you get to choose how hot you want it! As well as the peanut sauce for the egg rolls is simply outstanding. Service is always fantastic, too! Love coming here!

They have the best steak in town! The philly cheese egg rolls are amazing too!

I rarely order steak at restaurants because I don't trust them to justify the steep price with a well-seasoned & correctly cooked piece of meat. Not only was the price right at Kob Jai, the ribeye was one of the best I've had in quite some time. A+

Had a great experience! I ask for a custom order of their brisket tips with pad tai noodles that was not on the menu and they obliged. It was one of the best meals I have had in a restaurant in awhile!

The beef stir fry was delicious and so flavorful! They served the best egg rolls I've ever eaten. Everyone was so friendly! I'll be back!
