I love the food because it's fresh, and the service is quick and friendly. I'm dropping one star because the spice level of the food is really inconsistent. I always order pad thai. 50% of the time, the spice level seems to be what most Thai restaurants would rate as a medium spice, so that is what I have come to expect when I order it. But the other 50% of the time, it either has no spice at all (and tastes very bland) or it is way too spicy that my mouth feels like it's on fire. I know everyone has their own personal level of spice that they find enjoyable, but I wish the spice level could just be consistent here.

My 1st stop every time in fly into the Royal Oak area and my last stop to pick up food on my way out to NY. Kenny is the best and so is his crew. Recently went to Vera Asian at Royal Oak & had a great experience. I had the General Tso Chicken w/noodles bowl and a shrimp tempura roll and everything was fresh and greatly prepared. The only suggestion is that the sushi roll could be a bit bigger, considering the $$ paid for it. But in general, great tasting food, very good customer service, and a very colorful & awesome vibe inside the restaurant. This is a place I will visit in the future, whenever I visit Detroit.

Great food and great service but unfortunately Royal Oak sucks. No close quick parking; to get lunch, takes way too long. Construction everywhere. I would avoid Royal Oak at all costs. Great idea just keep the meters fed highway robbery R. O. The food is fresh and made to order. Very fast, very delicious. People here are great. Excellent service. Helpful and friendly. Will be back soon if it were in another city with close free parking.

Fantastic food. My only recommendation for the restaurant is to add some pictures/descriptions to their online ordering for the types of sauces (such as “Tokyo”, “Hong Kong”, etc) and bases (such as “Soba”, “vermicelli”, etc). Whenever I order, I have google open in another tab so I can do some research while ordering.
