From the moment you walk in you are welcomed like family. The atmosphere is like walking into your abuelita's house, with cultural mexican decor and the feeling of "home" with a hint of modern. We came in on the second opening Sunday around 3:30pm after the "church" rush and it was not full at all, which is a good thing because the place is tiny and I am a bit claustrophobic. Regarding the food, let me tell you, I would go there just for the chips and salsa every freaking day. They are homemade, and lightly seasoned to perfection, with just the right amount of crunch without sacrificing your fillings. The salsa was not spicy enough for me, but it was flavorful, delicious and definitely not store bought from New York City! I was elated when our food was brought out served on traditional Mexican platery (is that even a word??) It was so cute and added a nice touch to the overall sentiment of the place. It was also all plated very nicely, not just strewn onto the plate. The portions were perfect to get you to that "full" but not hurting point, because it's so good we could all easily get there if served any more. The husband had the green chicken enchiladas with rice and beans- again, not spicy, but VERY flavorful, authentic and definitely not canned stuff. I had the menudo- it was clean, lean, and entirely fat free- always a plus. Honestly, at first I thought it was a bit bland, but I may just be biased because I'm used to my mom's menudo, which can bring a person out of a coma. BUT if you know how to menudo, and add the right amount of cilantro, lime, onions & jalapeño chunks (that are provided with the plate) let it stew for a little bit, you will be pleasantly delighted, my opinion definitely improved as I slurped my way into menudo nirvana. We got our 2 year old the appetizer chicken quesadilla with guac- now, mind you, my kid will eat anything, but he gobbled this down like there was no tomorrow, and when your 2 year old makes satisfying "Mmmmm" sounds throughout his meal, you know it's gotta be that good. He loved the chips too if that tells you anything. When asked about dessert, I couldn't pass up on the sopapillas, and I'm glad I didn't! Again, warm (not piping hot) homemade to perfection with the perfect amount of cinnamon & sugar on top. I'm glad the hubby & kid were too busy playing to notice me gobble the 2 up by myself. Our total was under $30, which is a good deal for the quality and quantity. I love a clean establishment and Senaida's is nothing short, the floors, tables, bar, everything was spotless. Our server came to check on us and refilled our drinks but was not overbearing. The owner even came out to greet us and ask how they were doing, which is always nice to show they really care. Overall a great experience, I have not one complaint and would definitely recommend to all.
What's not to love. This is my 2nd time there. The staff is very friendly and attentive and the food is so delicious. Chips and salsa are fresh and spicy. I couldn't stop eating chips and salsa they were very addictive. The food was very good and hot and the price was reasonable. I can't wait to go back again. I found my new favorite mexican restaurant. I highly recommend this place.

Favorite Mexican place in the area! Cute place and wonderful service. Gets busy for sure during happy hour, but it goes quick. Loved the tacos dorados and the salsas. Will return! Corn torns individually were tasty, especially the beef cuts
Nice little Mexican restaurant in Rowlett. Came in for lunch, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Good chips and salsa, and the taco birria plate was phenomenal!!! It comes with three tacos, cup of consome, and a side of rice. Probably the best birria tacos I've ever had anywhere!
I haven't been here since 2020! 😱 Same fantastic #LoadedChickenNachos (+added lettuce)‼️😋 Still my favorite Tex-Mex nachos. Same great customer service.
The BEST Mexican food in the area we have tried by far. We recently moved here and had been searching for a place that reminded us of home and this is it! Authentic, flavorful, and home made sauces on point. If you like spicy, they have a habanero sauce that is amazing!
I haven’t had the pleasure of eating here yet, but I want to. Considering there are reviews popping up from others that haven’t visited based on a video, I thought I might as well leave one as well. The menu looks fantastic. It’s so hard to find authentic Mexican food, around Dallas! I saw a video today as several others did and I have to say the owner handled that situation so well. I don’t miss working in the restaurant business because of people like that. I can’t wait to try it tomorrow!
The food is really good, just a tad pricey for my budget. Has a nice intimate atmosphere unless you are there for Happy Hour i guess. I had the brisket enchalidas and my wife ad the chicken ones. She commented on how tender the chicken was. Good service and clean cement floors.
