This is my dad’s favorite place to get Shanghai food for his home sickness. However, today’s Sheng-Jian-Bao were burnt. I messaged the shop, and no, there is no such thing as customer service... My dad said it happened before and he was too nice to say anything. Guess I’m not.

I had the worst Zongzi (salted duck egg york and pork 蛋黃肉糉) from Little Shanghai Restaurant. Ordered the basic sheng jian bao (pan fried pork buns) and XLB and 12 hours later something in it is preventing me from digesting. If you want to eat real Shanghai food, this is the place. Meat moon cake, yellow fish soup noodles is my favorite, stir fried rice cake, stinky fried tofu, soy sauce duck all taste d good. We have to drive 35 minutes to get there but the trip is worth it.
