We ordered 2 pots on Sunday night, the Crab on Fire doesn’t taste as good as before. They also raised the prices. Meat quality was good. Came with veggies that are 1 time refill only. 2 people with 2 soup bases and 2 trays of meat total to almost $100. If you like spicy, ask for hot drops.

Very good place for shabu shabu... you have options for AYCE or single order. They give you more than enough for basic AYCE... but if you want more meat, you always have options if you add $5. I love the appetizers.

My second time there. I enjoyed it just like before. Quick friendly service. The flavors of the broths are great. The protein sizes are just right. No AYCE. Plenty of parking. I’d go back again.

Service is fast, friendly and first-class. The broth selection is good. The protein selection and quantity is good. The quality of all the overall ingredients (e.g. vegetables, sauces, meat, broth) is top notch. I will definitely be going back.

First of all, we came here two weeks ago on the weekday and found out they have AYCE menu so we brought our friends there today but were told the AYCE only available on Tuesday and Wednesday. Although it is not specified anywhere on the menu or online, we are okay with order the regular menu. However, since they don't have a big table for 6 of us so they sit us separately into a table of 4 and a table of 2. In that case, we can't really talk to our friends on the other end even though our tables were next to each other. Here is where things get tricky. They have a policy of 18% of gratuity when the group is more than 5. Although we weren't sit together but they insist since we come in together so they have to charge the 18% gratuity. We were like okay then but we told them we want separated bills at the end. The waitress was okay with that. But when we were paying with 3 different cards, the waitress told us that we are the same group of people so we can only pay in 2 cards. First of all, theoretically, we were never on the same table since we were sit. Secondly, when we ask to pay separately, it means each party pay for their own bills. If you have any policy against that, you should let the customer know first. Finally, it's not we don't want to pay you the tips but if your service is not on par with what you deserve, customer suppose to take all the nonsense and follow the rules you think is right? Very unpleasant experience and won't go back again. Good luck.

It was an absolute pleasure to dine at Shabu Haru. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a lot of great specials. Portions are very big so you will leave full and happy. They have great drink selection including sales, soju and beer. Appetizers are really good! Meats are excellent quality and their presentation is impressive. Souo broths are amazing. You can tell they put a lot of work and care into the broths. Veggies come pre-arranged in a bowl with was very nice and added to the presentation and experience. Lota of sauces and extras to accompany the meal. I love the decor, atmosphere and music! Fun place to eat.

Came by on a Tuesday and thought we would try the AYCE this time around. Don’t usually like AYCE because I tend to over do it, but the price is rreasonable and the premium options were tempting. Having the option for two broths, including my fave the fire crab, zabuton and wagyu rib eye would have been enough but the premium appetizers were also really great. Soft shell crab, fresh oysters with ponzu but especially the wagyu sushi made it truly worth while. Service was again on point and may have to ask for seating at the bar more regular since there is always someone passing by to take your order or refill our drinks. What I learned this time around. Pork bone broth made spicy is just as good aaa my fave the fire crab, but didn’t really need both. The broths are so good, i hardly use the dipping sauces which are better than most shabu places. My GF had the spicy miso and tomato she definitely preferred the spicy miso which is her fave, but always had wanted to try thE tomato, so check. It was tasty, but a little too sweet for our taste. Zabuton and wagyu were definitely premium cuts and worth every penny, but for a basic week night dinner, probably more than we needed so will be back to our regular order next time around. We drive a long way to come here, so usually stop by only when in the area, but we’ll worth it. Only wish it were closer to home or work so we can come by more often.
