Used to be my favorite chicken place ever, but they changed their chicken strips and it's now sub par. Used to be real chicken and now it's processed chicken nuggets
The pot stickers are still to die for though.

I don’t do negative reviews, but this was one of the worst value propositions I’ve ever encountered. I ordered a 10 piece strips plate, but what I received was 5 pieces cut in half to make 10. When I called the store to ask if this was an error, they said that’s how they are served. Should be noted that the picture on their online menu shows 10 full pieces. I’ve never had any issue at other Bonchon locations, but I also normally order wings. $15 for 5 pieces of chicken doesn’t make sense, no matter how you slice it.

3/4s of the way through CLOY and I had to try Korean chicken since they're eating it in every episode. Ordered the 6 wing and 3 drum combo with cole slaw and pot stickers. Came out to 28$. Chicken tasted like bland chicken that was fried with some sauce on it. Pot stickers tasted like reheated frozen pot stickers with sauce on it. Coleslaw (Why coleslaw?! This golden corral?) tasted like coleslaw in the cold section at a grocery store. I'm pretty sure this is just the expensive fast food equivalent...There's something authentic out there I just know it.

Chicken was great. But they charged me almost 3$? For a half full bowl of rice

I’m writing this the week after the opening. I went on a Friday night. It was packed, waited about 45 min to be seated. ( I had previously tried this place in New York so I knew it was going to be good so we didn’t mind waiting.
The food is delicious!! Great friendly service! The wings, I got half spicy half soy garlic. Super crispy soo good!!!
The shrimp dumplings and other appetizers were just as delicious! I definitely recommend trying this place. You may just have to wait awhile but it’s definitely worth it!

Went there during their soft opening. The fried wings and drum sticks are absolutely fantastic. Freshly fried to perfection. Crispy outside and inside is still juicy. We ordered half and half spicy and regular. The spicy is REALLy spicy. The fried rice, bulgogi, etc are good but not great. But this is soft opening so hope that they will iMprove from there. The main attraction is the fried chicken anyway. Just glad that this is available in Round Rock!

The food was good but it’s pricey for what you get. I had the lunch special which was 6 pieces of chicken, pickled radishes, and a water - over $12 with tip. The fried chicken texture was good but there wasn’t much sauce on them. I ended up leaving pretty hungry still.
I’ll give it another try at some point since it’s new. Hopefully it will be a better experience.

Had a fantastic time at Bonchon, glad we finally got one in Austin! The staff was great and the food was delicious. Get the spicy chicken tacos, the fried rice and of course, the wings!!
