My family and I like this place the best out of the breakfast places we have tried in Roseburg. We have found the service and atmosphere, as well as the food, the most to our liking.
The bacon is very good and my youngest daughter loves their link sausage. I like the Good Breakfast with polish sausage, it is all I ever order now. They have great sourdough toast and their little jam packets are a better quality than Smuckers, which I really appreciate!
On weekend morning there can be a wait as they are very busy.

The chicken fried steak is amazing. Just amazing. Absolutely tasty. Quite filling, and the size was quite good. As mentioned in my photo, it wasn't soapy, unlike Shari's or Claim Jumper. Just tasty.
If you can get past the homey atmosphere and the ratio of seniors it attracts their food is great and well priced. I also love how attentive their servers are. My coffee is never empty.
Their Halibut is wonderful. It has a great taste, great breading and not at all greasy. They have really good breakfasts as well. Very pleasant homey atmosphere.

Definitely felt like it was going to be a friendly environment from the moment we walked in since we were greeted by an older gentleman who I could only assume is the owner. Unfortunately, our waitress wasn't as friendly. She quickly came to get our order but it felt like we waited a while for food. Even had to get up and ask someone for napkins during our meal because she never came to check in with us. Too few waitresses tending to tables.
All in all, a nice little diner to get a bite before our long road trip home. Portions were decent, even for the kids' plate. The only downside was that my omelet was good, but the bell peppers and onions could have sautéed a few minutes longer for them to soften. They tasted raw and had a slight crunch.

I love this place for breakfast, haven't eaten lunch or dinner so I can't review that side of it. Now, the servers are all great pulled from the golden era of chewing gum ladies that knew how you wanted it! Price is good, and these guy believe in freedom and the American way. By that they support the blue, and all first responders. The food is great as well, always cooked like you expect it to be but made with a little something else you can tell they take pride in the food.
Great people and good food. It's exactly what you would hope for when you're in the mood for an old school diner and quality home cooking. Can't go wrong with the sausage gravy over hand-pressed hamburger patty and eggs breakfast! ;-)
Went out to breakfast this morning. Service was excellent and the food was fantastic. Large portions for your money.
This is THE PLACE where locals go for incredible food!!! I was blown away not only by the quality and presentation of my breakfast, but also by how HARD the waitresses busted their buns to make sure everyone had what they needed, including filling my coffee multiple times.
