We have had our annual dinner for our local Audubon Society here for many years. The service is friendly and fast. The food is always prepared perfectly. This restaurant is known for it's Prime Rib and you'll never have a better one anywhere else. I wish I could give a rating higher than a five because they have certainly earned it over the years. We are fortunate to have this restaurant in our county.
I had the smothered prime rib and my brother had a Kansas city cut. My prime rib was excellent covered with mush, onion and provolone, being here I had to have a Roscoe since your next door to the brewery. Full salad bar and soups with your meal. It was a good stop. Steak and ale won't break your wallet.
Favorite in the area for steaks. Love the salad bar too. Great laid back atmosphere
My boyfriend and I love coming here for the Prime Rib. Its always delicious nomatter what day of the week. And its awesome that you get all you can eat soup, salad and warm bread with your meal. This place is definitely worth every penny I spent there.
The food was Great. A huge NY Strip and a huge prime rib. No reservation and seated immediately.
I’ve had several steaks here but by far the Cowboy Ribeye is the best. Love the salad bar and bread station.
Best Prime Rib! Great friendly atmosphere and service 👌 😊
Excellent service and food. Large portions and cooked as ordered. Only negative is made a reservation for party of 6 for 6pm on a Saturday as normally busy. Arrived to almost empty dining room which was extremely too hot and our reserved table was right next to salad bar and stage where they put all the dirty dishes and food from bused tables. Otherwise pleased and would return.
Had dinner there. The food was delicious as usual. I had the prime rib and lobster tail, and both were cooked perfectly.
We were visiting from California. The dinner included salad bar. Very large portions. I had the salad bar and seafood grill. My wife had the veal parmesan. Overall a great, filling meal after a long day of kayaking the lake and hiking the rail trail.
This is my favorite place on the planet. I love everything about Roscoe, NY. It’s small even for a small town. Instead of the locals treating us as if we r intruding on them they all have welcomed us every time everywhere. Some of our happiest memories come from this place. Rock land house is a restaurant, a bar, and a motel. The whole place is run by a local family who has had it in their family for generations. They treat us like family every time we go no matter how long it has been since we were there. They share their secret fishing knowledge with us and genuinely want to help us have a successful fishing adventure.. they r givers of free fly fishing tips, tricks, secret fishing spots, free shots, and absolutely delicious fresh food. We have never had a bad meal or drink here. We will continue to spend any free time we get in Roscoe with Tommy and his beautiful family and his wonderful establishments.. thank u for always making us feel like we belong there when we visit
Wow, my husband and I ate here last night and it is now our go to restaurant every time we are in the area. Service was excellent. Water and a cheddar cheese and cracker appetizer was brought to the table when we sat down. My husband had read a review about the duck a l'orange and it wasn't a special that night but the waitress asked the chef about it and he happened to have one for him. it was excellent. I had the local trout and also was very happy with it. The steaks we saw looked terrific too. The salad bar had a nice variety including a soup and sausage gumbo and delicious breads. We will definitely be eating here again and again.
Very good dinner good prime rib
We went for dinner and had the best prime ribs and broiled seafood ever. Never disappointed with the food, service and atmosphere. A comfortable, local place where tshirts in dinner are the norm but the food is worthy of a tux.
Broiled scallops×2 / sweet potato fries/ sweet potato and 1 Queen prime rib . All was perfectly prepared. Fresh salad and soup bar with wonderful breads to delight the taste buds. Not a crumb was left behind by me and my dining partners took home what they couldn't eat because of the great portion sizes. The waitress was attentive leaving us feeling satisfied and well served. Thank you Rockland House.
I was riding my motorcycle around the area and got caught in some long term rain a little too far from home. Took a room here overnight.
The price was reasonable, the room was small and simple, but clean, looked new and everything worked. The water was hot and the pressure was good. The owners run a bar/restaurant next door and without parsing the reciept and looking at the total only, the prices were fair.
The owners were a very friendly and welcoming bunch, despite being a little busy running a comedy event in the bar.
Great little place to stay if you need one.
