Very impressed with this restaurant.. high quality ingredients and excellent service. I was so excited to try a new restaurant and this was a awesome choice. I was greeted immediately upon entering and provided prompt and friendly service. All the employees were responsibly following covid precautions. Thanks so much for the great experience.
Inside is spacious for all the familia. Nice bar with six chair if eating alone and watch TV. Friendly staff. Overall is very good.
We come here regularly because we really enjoy their food. They have a good selection of tasty meals with generous portions. This visit I tried the Carlos special. It is delicious with lots of chicken and cheese. It comes with sour cream, guacamole, salad, and rice and beans.
I moved out of the area, and stop by EVERY TIME I AM IN TOWN! I love the owners, service, FOOD!!! everything about them! The portions are enormous! The food is delicious!! The chilli relleno sauce is the BEST IVE EVER HAD!! And because I live 3 hours away I always order food to go after my sit down dinner. They are worth checking out for yourself, prices are reasonable, you won't be sorry! Make sure you read the menu some of the dishes sound incredible!! I haven't gotten to all of them yet, but so far they have all been in the reorder list !!!

My dad and I usually go to Tonayan for our monthly dinners. He loves the chile relleno. I've tried the tostada, tacos, and enchiladas with chicken or al pastor and I have enjoyed all of them.
The restaurant is always clean, and staff is prompt and kind.
First time here, awesome place friendly people the food was absolutely amazing! Can't believe I've never been there before and I live in the same town. The service was outstanding definitely will go back!
The family knows my family. From being long time customers. They treat everyone as inviting you into there home. And make a great dinner. The warm chips and great salsa is best of all. Not overly crowded. Big place so you can always fine a place to sit.
I love this little restaurant. The food is traditional and extremely good and the margaritas are fantastic! The service is warm and friendly and the environment is easy going.
I never leave here unsatisfied! Authentic flavors delight the palette with an explosion of flavor, yummy! The chips are crisp and the salsa livens the tastebuds with just enough heat. LOVE the family feel and the warm smiles everytime we visit <3

I personally love the Molcajete- very very good! I always get that when I can. The kids love it here too. Spacious, slightly outdated decor actually adds some quirkiness & character rather than being a sad reminder of former glory like some OTHER Sonoma County restaraunts.
Very good original Mexican food and drink. Their slaw is a wonderful match with many of the available entrée. Staff are attentive to our needs and really very nice to us during our visits.

Tonayan is always a good place to eat and with time we feel like visiting a family. Everyone working here made you feel good, they have such a great disposition towards their costumer, and the boss is in, he is also an special men, he mades sure your time here goes smoothly. And of course the food, it's delicious! Very good variety to choose from.
Great food and service. Lara, Isidro and staff are like family. Entire dinner including beer and wine for two around $40 There is a great selection with my favorite being their carnitas. Have been eating here since they opened. Watched their son grow into a young man .
You'll never know what you're missing from the street, spacious and authentic family feel inside. I recommend coming here in the afternoon when the sun is coming through the huge glass tile windows. Decor could use a little help and salsa could use a little less salt, but overall pretty good prices, service, food and atmosphere, worth checking out.

I really don't understand some comments here. I believe that people understand about architecture and beauty of the environment, but very little about food. Not surprisingly, the comments are more about the environment that the food because they should just know how to cook bacon and eggs.
The food is Jalisco home-style prepared and served in good portions. Since they have the bar the drinks and Tequilla selection are really good. So personal that if you know a different whiskey or a good Tequilla brand they will provide it for the next time you will be back.
