El Tapatio

We ate at El Tapatio on Sunday afternoon May 1 2022. The service was uncaring. The 2 servers who brought our food did not bring the full order and did not relay our request to our original waiter who took our order. Our waiter did not come back to our table until I went inside the restaurant to find someone. The food was pricey and sort of smaller portions than I expected. I ordered a fajita and it was uninspired. Just onions and green peppers and shrimp, nothing special at all. Find somewhere else to eat. I won't eat there again and will not recommend.

Showed up for dinner and was seated quick enough. Then went down hill from there. Waiter was very slow. We then ordered our food along with made to order guacamole for an appetizer. Waiting, waiting, then finally food shows up. Barely lukewarm. No guacamole appetizer. Asked them where our guacamole was. We were half finished with the meal and then guacamole comes. She makes it right at the table so we have to stop eating our dinner to tell her how we want it made. Now food is really cold. Guacamole was made but we had no chips left. We asked for more chips. They never showed and we ended up eating the rest of the guacamole with forks out of the dish. Waiter shows up and drops off the check. Doesn't ask if we want dessert, not that we would have at that point. Try the other Mexican restaurant down the road.

From the greenville area, stopped to get a quick bite to eat and I can honestly say it was really good. You can tell the guacamole was authentic. The chicken quesadillas were juicy and cheesy. My friend had the shrimp and chicken fajita nachos and they were good as well. Sweet tea was bussin and all… well worth the money.

For starters... the food was GREAT! I mean... it might have been the best burrito I've had from any restaurant. I ordered the Carne Asada Burrito with no guacamole. It had steak, lettuce, rice, and Pico de Gallo.... and let me tell you... it was HUGE! I could only finish half of it and it was sooooo satisfying. My bf ordered a chicken fajita quesadilla. It was HUGE and they did not skimp you in the ingredients inside. It was loaded with chicken, cheese and not too heavy on the veggies. The chips and salsa were also really good. We also ordered margaritas. I had a frozen strawberry and he had a peach margarita on the rocks. His was pretty strong and mine was REALLY flavorful. We are completely satisfied and can't wait to go back. My ONLY complaint is that they seemed to be down a bartender. It took forever for us to get our drinks and our server ended up having to go to the bar and make our drinks. That took a solid 15-20min. It was surely worth the wait tho. My goodness!
