I first came to this place with my boyfriend after seeing ads for a promotion they were doing. Our server was very friendly and helpful with recommendations. We first got a calamari appetizer as I needed more time to think about what drink to get (can't go to Gordon Biersch without trying a beer!) and I ended up getting a flight. This was a lot of fun as I'd never had real beer before and generally avoided it and had no idea what it was going to be like. After trying all of them I can say I like beer now. I forgot all the names but the server also gave me a sample of an IPA based on what I liked the most, and it was wonderful! I also got the lobster Mac n cheese which was good in taste but I would have preferred a different kind of pasta (they used bow ties) and more cheese. My boyfriend got the pepperoni pizza which was AMAZING. It was loaded with pepperoni and cheese and the crust was the perfect amount of crispness. I was definitely craving it the next day. Now I see ads for Gordon Biersch all the time on social media for other deals and I can't wait to go back...
Nice restaurant. Very dark inside, I lightened the pictures of the food so you could see it better! Some people were using flashlights to read the menu. We all liked our dishes. Pleasant service. Not much for vegetarians. I did see a black bean burger and there are pizza options.
My first experiences here were just meeting a few people and grabbing a beer, the place is very nice and everyone is polite. Eventually I went back and started ordering food as well, the typical (bar food) is GREAT. The wings, burgers, garlic fries, just wow. Definitely give it a try wether you're doing dinner with the family or watching a game with friends.
Not a bad place.
I ordered the burger medium rare and got a really greasy well done burger that was falling apart. It tasted great, I just like my burger to be closer to medium, not greasy, and not falling apart whiling I’m eating it.
My friend says the steak is really good so I’ll be back to try that and I love craft beer.
Bridget, my bartender was awesome. Textbook great service. Great beer, OK food. Then again if you were expecting fine dining quality food, you should have gone elsewhere.
It has a small but varied selection of house brewed beers. Food is good but doesn't stand out as special. Meets expectations for a mid-level chain. Service is prompt and courteous.
The signature garlic fries are an enjoyable side, but doesn't always come hot. I noticed they are out of the fryer and waiting under the heat lamp pending the entree joining them to go out to the table.
Overall a nice place to have a meal with friendly waitstaff. The food is generally tasty though I find it ranges from delicious to just okay, which is why the one star was knocked off (like I had the fish tacos last time I was there and, while tasty overall, they were amazingly small pieces of fish for the amount of tortilla and fillings that were given. Likely won't be having them again since I like to taste fish in fish tacos...) Overall, I recommend it. You're just possibly going to get a range of experiences from "eh" to "I love this place!" depending on what you order.
My Dining Experience was Great from Start to Finish. We had A Very Friendly Server "Tacarra" Funny as well as Knowledgeable about Different Food Choices. She remained attentive and present at all times. I Would defiantly Recommend this Restaurant to Anyone Considering. Just an FYI....Great Shrimp Tacos as well as Garlic Fries.
I visit Gordon Biersch at least once a month. The service is always solid (randomly it slips a little, but it's usually friendly and fast enough). The menu is diverse and creative and the food is very tasty. Rarely have we (wife and I) disliked anything we've ordered. The beer is delicious and brewed on-site. The best of all are the garlic fries...these are a MUST. I would eat them for breakfast, lunch and dinner if it was socially acceptable. I will continue to return here because it's hard to find a restaurant that delivers a relaxed atmosphere, good food, good beer and reasonable prices so consistently. If you're not sold or are looking for alternatives, check out Full On, Gilly's Sandwich shop, or Matchbox. These three will also provide very similar experiences...
I am stunned. I just wanted a burger to go since i was in a hurry for lunch, and after ordering the 3/4 pound burger on the phone, i walked in and was greeted with such a beautiful style restaurant. Besides the appearance, i got my food which smelled incredible just from the bag. The burger was massive, and i personally have to salt all my food since it never comes seasoned properly. This burger was cooked perfectly, and seasoned perfectly. The aroma from the fries alone is enough to just buy the fries by themselves. One of the best burgers i have ever had.
I do have to complain that the host looked and acted lost. I dont know if he was new on the job, but he was clueless and just scatterbrained. The rest of the staff were completely aware of their customer.
Great please to have a beer and good dish outside on the street. Place with European style
Place is very decent. It's a chain but this is a good one. Beer is very good and food is decent. If you're looking for the true brewery experience, obviously pick somewhere else. But this place is still good for a quick good and quality dependable beer and good food. Just don't expect anything amazing.
This establishment has fantastic food and drinks we were served by Bridget. She was on point and she delivered fantastic customer service to us. Regardless of what we purchased she still delivered fantastic customer service. It was towards the end the night and Shawn still did not care what time of the night was he still wants to please his customers. The service the food is amazing here and I will always return to this location.
The service was pretty slow. It was lunchtime, but the place wasn't overly busy. The hostess wasn't the best, she seemed flustered, so maybe she was just having a bad day (it happens). The food was very good. I had fish tacos and they were great!
