What a great place we found passing through BWI!! William was an awesome waiter who was genuinely interested in the people he was serving! He made the whole experience! Food was good too!!
Springfield restaurant-Marquis was our waiter and made the entire experience a delight. His can-do attitude and outstanding customer service made our day. We went in to take advantage of my birthday meal and I was unable to produce the email. Marquis came up with a solution to help. He guided us to some tasty things on the menu (corn and crab soup) and at the end a decadent and generous size of their black and white milkshake (Breyer vanilla ice cream with Hershey's chocolate syrup). I ordered the flat iron steak and it was cooked as I ordered it-rare. It was served with spinach sautéed with minced garlic and crisy onion straws. Marquis came by numerous times to check our meal and make sure we had a great dining experience. When we go back, we will be sure Marquis is working and sit in his section. He truly made the experience great!!
Looking for some good breakfest at a cheap price then check this place out. We were getting ready for a day of walking around the National Mall and needed to load up with a hardy breakfest to keep us going. All my friends tried different menu items and they all were great. Classic theme diner with old school feel. Food was great, service was so so... they were busy so that could have played a factor. Prices were cheap and portions were solid. Couple locations in the area, this one is by a shopping mall, so I can imagine its busy all the time...
This place is nice for a diner. The staff is friendly, service is great. This food is average meaning yes I would come back again. Only downfall that it is slightly higher on the food prices than other local places. I do recommend this place as it was to me by my friend. Great diner feel with some delicious food. $38 bucks with coffee and ice tea for 2 people.

This is not your everyday diner. The quality of the food is really good. We got Lamb Merguez Burger and Lemon chicken picatta with Lemon caper sauce, cinnamon chipotle farro with zucchini and tomato. Both the dishes were really good plus they offer healthy selection with calorie count which I really appreciated. The lemon caper sauce and the farro that was served with the chicken were specially really good. This place is a great to get an American diner experience.

I can see why this place is so popular. They serve their brunch, lunch and dinner menu at all times of the day which makes it so much better because you have so many options to chose from. Not to mention, their food is great. Their milkshakes are out of this world and I HIGHLY recommend you all to try the NUTELLA AND BANANA milkshake. The little chunks of banana were cold and firm (not mushy) which made it so much better and the Nutella was blended in so well with the banana. Trust me, even if you're not a huge fan of bananas, you have to try this one. We also ordered their CHEESE FRIES with extra cheese and extra scallion and since you can't go wrong with that, they were pretty damn good too. I ordered their CHICKEN AND WAFFLES which NOTE would have been so much better if the waffles didn't have pecan in them. I don't know how I missed that on the menu but that was the only thing I didn't like about this place, or rather, about this dish and so I couldn't finish the waffle. The chicken and the gravy was excellent though. Lastly, we ordered their CHOCOLATE CHIP PANCAKES which were fluffy, huge and so filling that my friend could only finish half and had the other half for dinner. All in all, would definitely visit this place again, try more milkshakes and possibly their other dishes, NOT their strange pecan waffles.
My son who is 5 years old wanted to eat dinner at the Silver Diner in Rockville, MD this evening. Even though it was a 20 minute wait it was worth the wait. A waiter named Anderson, I couldn't have asked for a better waiter!!! He was pleasant and even though I am a young person with a child I wasn't judged or mistreated in any way. Anderson was helpful and got me everything I needed. My son fell asleep in the restraunt and Anderson helped me carry my son's food and milk to my car. He offered and I think that is the kindest and most thoughtful customer service I have ever received. Thank you Anderson! If you dine at the Silver Diner, request, if possible waiter Anderson. I think Anderson should receive recognition for his wonderful and generous customer service!!!

The New Location Rocks My Tastebuds. I LOVE diners. With that said, Silver Diner has a retro feel with a modern age food appeal.
I LOVE all of the food that I've tried at Silver Diner on Rockville Pike in Rockville, MD thus far.
I recently tried Guacamole Pepper Jack Burger for the first time; so delish. The burger was soooo juicy. I wish there were bigger chunks of avocado in the guacamole, however it was delicious.
In the past my favorites have been the Corned Beef Hash omelet as well as the Crab Cake Benedict.
The triple chocolate cake is delish and the perfect ending to any meal.
I love the music that plays in the juke box. Whether eating with a big group or small group the staff has been courteous.
I really like this place the food was amazing! Great flavor profiles that I wasn't expecting. Serving sizes were very large & healthy options are avaliable for pretty much everything. Forget ihop this will be my new spot.
Pefect For Us. We have two small kids as do most of our friends. My son calls it the "choo-choo" restaurant. We go fairly regularly. The food is good, fairly priced and the kids have a great time.

We got the Lumberjack breakfast and the caramel French toast . The Lumberjack breakfast was enough to share between the two of us . The potatoes seasoned just enough not too bland or over seasoned . The pork Bacon and sausage were very flavorful as well. The French toast was soft and sweet. The only thing is it needed a bit more caramel drizzle. Then lastly my delicious Oreo milkshake that completed this diner meal. Was very smooth and not too thick . The interior is very beautiful from the artwork down to the jukeboxes on the tables .
A great classic choice for your all American breakfast with healthy yet deliciously filling options sprinkled in as well!
While this is what diners are usually known for, Silver Diner has shown me that diner food doesn’t always have to be about grease and quantity, and that tasty food can still be healthy and delicious! They have a very broad variety of foods and so many different things to choose from on the menu.
You could go here 5 different times and order something completely different each time. I personally recommend their omelettes and milkshakes the most!
When looking on line for vegan - vegetarian friendly dining options we found the Rockville location only minutes from our hotel. Enthused by the vast menu and specific mention of veg friendly options we decided to check it out. From first impressions of the beautiful, stylish, and gleaming facade to the time we paid the check, not a moment of disappointment.
Nice bonus to be able to sit outside on a perfect sunny day. The service was attentive and consistent, and of course no small detail that the food was awesome.
Highly recommend the JUST egg & Beyond Meat tacos and the JUST eggs Benedict. The grits are delicious (even if you don’t add vegan cheese) and coffee is served in real size mugs.
Go back to the 1950s and enjoy really good American Cuisine.
I love bringing my friends visiting me from other countries. Silver Diner offers a delightful dining experience with its 1950s-inspired decor and really good American cuisine.
I admire that the menu includes a good selection of halal meat options as well. While the food is delicious, the service could be improved. If you prefer seating outside, there is a nice tent right next to the restaurant.
Silver diner really gives you all of the American experience you thought you should get. As European tourist we only have our view of an American diner as we have seen from the movies. How terrific it is to then discover that such a place actually exists!
Not a place only for tourists but clearly enjoyed by locals as well.

Good place to hang out with friends and family. We visited several times in the past few months, and the food is consistently good. The staff is very friendly and nice. I am glad to see a few halal options on the menu and would love to see more of them. I enjoyed their watermelon lemonade. 🍉

Got the Lumberjack plate and the lunch half and half special (corn chowder and tomato basil sandwich) and it was great! Service was very slow, but it was decently busy in the middle of the day. Huge menu with a lot of options; classical American diner! The shakes are great and also gigantic

I came here to celebrate my cousin leaving for the military and had to share with a large group. Elena made the service great and easy! Although large she was not overwhelmed and was able to keep up with all our orders in a timely manner. When you come ask for Elena!! The food also was fast and great!!
Large portions, quality ingredients, nice variety in the menu with lots of healthy options. Get there early for brunch, outdoor seating as well.
