What a delicious find! Only a few minutes off Highway 31, we found a lovely local restaurant for dinner. I had the thick grilled tenderloin sandwich with carmelized rosemary onions, and I was able to get fresh green beans as my side - only $10 for this entree. I could not resist the homemade peanut butter pie, and I am glad I didn't. It was creamy with a yummy chocolate crust and plenty big to share. The ambience was great - brick walls, cute repurposed window dividers and lots of hanging flowers outside. I highly recommend and hope to stop by on my next trip along Highway 31!
Just ate here for the first time. Can't believe I have not eaten here before now! The salmon blt sandwich was AWSOME! Blue Moon on tap. Great service and EXCELLENCE in food!! When you serve fresh ingredients it shows in the flavor!
Driving from Connersville IN to Niles MI on US 31, looking for a non fast-food lunch option. Zomato brought us to Evergreen in Rochester, IN. The best food we've had so far on our entire trip! The crab cake sandwich, served on lettuce-lined naan bread, and topped with corn, roasted red pepper, and bruschetta tomatoes, was succulent with just the right touch of brininess. And exactly the right size for @my appetite. Pea salad made the perfect side. My husband was delighted with his choice of mac and cheese. And the beer selections! Definitely worth the detour!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE!! The food is AMAZING! The owners, Ruth an Dwight are the nicest people, they made a point to come to my table and check to make sure everything was ok. I had the blue cheese crusted filet tips and it was spectacular! My friends had the fresh jail island salmon and the New York Strip steak. We also had fried green tomatoes for appetizer. The atmosphere is very comfortable and homey feeling. We enjoyed some great wine, the selection was awesome. They also had several draft beers to choose from. We will definitely go back, A LOT! I will be sure to tell everyone about this place!
My wife and I had dinner there and both the food and service was excellent. My wife had chicken alfredo and I had the salmon. the salmon came with baby aspergus and mashed red skin potatos. We were ippressed with the plating as well as the food. I am a big man (300lbs) and when we both left we were too full. My wife had inhouse cheese cake and I had the three berry pie. The check, including tip was $ 50 and change. I recommend this to anyone who likes great food at a fair price.
