Went to a beer themed dinner last night. It was excellent. A couple of the beers were a little strange, some people liked them, some didn't. That's purpose of a dinner like this, to expose you to tastes you might not otherwise experience. The food was good and the beer pairings were well considered. The event was sponsored by Fermenta, group of women with interests in the Michigan beer industry.

Our avocado salmon sandwich came with no avocado, but honestly it was really good either way. The waitress brought us avocado on the side and took the sandwiches off the bill- amazing. Regardless of how our order came out though, the food and drinks here are always great. Just felt the need to leave a review today because of the exceptional service! 10/10 Recommend!

Attended a birthday party for a friend here. She had made reservations that weren't upheld, and had to talk with a manager to sort it out. Other than the mildly horrible waitstaff it was a great atmosphere, trendy crowd, good live music (very loud tho). Great place for beer selection, not so great place for shots. Apparently they only had 5 shot glasses in the entire bar, because they kept taking the same 5 shot glasses, washing them, and reusing them for our table. Very weird experience. Wait staff was pretty terrible. I get we had a party of 10-15 people, but she would take the order of 1 or 2 people, disappear for 15 mins, come back and take the order of another person. If you bring a date here, I'm sure you'll be ok. If you have a party over 5 people, hopefully you get a different server, or go somewhere else that's more accommodating.

I think they went through some growing pains in the beginning, but I found them to be better than I expected. Beer selection is excellent, of course, and I personally liked the ipad menu. It's a bit gimmicky and I imagine that some non-technical people may have trouble navigating it, but there's a lot of info there. Service was prompt, and our waitress was able to make good recommendations for the beer. I had a pizza, which was very tasty aside from the crust - I suspect it was over-kneaded and that made it tough rather than chewy. But overall I enjoyed it. Looking forward to going back & trying some different things.
