Hog Thai Catering

Not a fancy place, but with good Thai food-who needs fancy decor? This place offers Red Door Delivery (and must do a good business with that). The cuisine is dead on...even the “spice levels” are legitimate. We ordered & took our choices home to enjoy. The chicken pad Thai was wonderfully prepared, glass noodle salad perfection and the chicken curry something to write home about (I’m leaving it here instead).

I was present for the grand opening of Hog Thais dine in restaurant. As someone who grew up eating this type of cuisine, my standards were and are really high and I want to say that Hog Thai did not disappoint. The quality and authenticity of the dishes were spot on, and the flavors were a wave of nostalgia all over again. Pricing was pretty par for the course for most Thai restaurants I've been to, a bit on the higher end of what I'd like to see but I'd say you definitely get quality with their meals. The restaurant is a bit small in size and tucked quietly off of 37th street, but is definitely a gem of a find. I highly recommend swinging by and trying some food. You won't be disappointed.

A delightful family-run, family-owned business that has superb Thai food! And yes, the food is legit Thai. The curry is fully aromatic with basil and coconut, the rice is that perfect stickiness, and the meat is well seasoned and sparks joy on your palate. Lol. Suffice to say, we were very happy with our first experience here and we will be returning soon. We wanted to help spread the word that Hog Thai has a sit-down restaurant now (offers take-out) in addition to its food truck and catering.

Ordered from here a few times through door dash, the food is great. The first time I ordered the pork egg rolls I mistakenly thought there was no pork in them, I called to make a complaint but it turns out it’s actually ground pork mixed in that sticks to the noodles. I spoke to the owner/manager I believe and she stated she’d gladly give me a refund...I hate to be that guy and didn’t want to make it a big deal. Fast forward a week and I ordered once again. When I got my food I was surprised to see an order of egg rolls with the message “on us :)”. I’m assuming the owner/manager remembered my name, which is very impressive. Bravo Hog Thai, you’ve earned a loyal customer.

A bit "off the beaten track" and a restricted menu compared to the one here on the web. (Prices also need updating.) I tried a take-out order of the Crispy Pork Belly and Sticky Rice that although freshly made was only so-so. I've had better Thai food in Rochester, but the server was friendly and I might try them again on another visit to Rochester.

Absolutely delicious! When a friend told me about Hog Thai, I was excited to try it. The Thai Curry Chicken is a perfect balance of cream and heat, with generous portions of chicken and vegetables, seasoned well and full of flavor. The sticky rice is well done and was a perfect appetizer. The Spring rolls were fresh, flavorful and not over powered by cilantro, letting the blend of shrimp, rice and a hint of mint, vermicelli, basil, and lettuce come through. Homemade sauces are excellent! We loved the relaxed atmosphere. Staff was so friendly. We will definitely be back.
