The nostalgia and the waitress, who was doing a great job/ I felt bad for, is the only reason I'm giving this place two stars. Food: I ordered an omelet. When I think of an Omelet, I think of a fluffy blanket of eggs holding the delicate veggies or various meats. However the style in which they choose to cook an Omelet, I was not a fan. It was so thin and I felt like the egg was completely lost. However all the veggies were crunchy and appeasing. When it came to the French Toast, I was so disappointed. Just because one dips thick cut bread into an egg does not mean it's French Toast... what about the sugar, what about the cinnamon, or vanilla? Unfortunately the mark was missed. Service: The service was good, but confusing. The young lady who helped us was nice and honestly doing the best she could. The owner was rudly yelling at her in the middle of the diner or loudly telling her customers are ready to order when she is trying to run tickets or get drinks. We honestly felt so bad, I can deal with sub par food, but being rude to your workers I cannot stand. That being said I will never be returning to this establishment.

Read about Cheap Charlie's considering closing for good. So got my mother and we went and had breakfast. The waitstaff was amazing and the food was so good and filling. We both managed to join the clean plate club, though we waddled out feeling content and tired! Definitely plan on going back very soon.

True family owned restaurant. One of few places open after a long night shift. The menu is full of great diner classics and fair priced. Also, this is huge for me, the food prep is consistent. You can be sure that you'll get the same good quality of menu items every time. Very fond of this place. If you show up early, the owners can chat with you and you'll gain an even greater appreciation for this business and it's food.

Yes, they are still open! I love to get breakfast here and on my most recent trip I ordered the French toast breakfast sandwich to go. This was a new one for me, bacon, sausage, egg, and cheese put between two pieces of french toast and served with a dish of syrup and pickles on the side. Surprisingly, the pickles went really well with the sandwich and I dipped it in to the syrup as I ate it. It was fantastic. I highly recommend Cheap Charlie's for breakfast or lunch.
