My go-to for Mexican food in town. Wish I’d tried it sooner. The shredded chicken that’s an option for most dishes (burrito, taco, tostada, etc) is fantastic. The lettuce and tomato toppings are vibrant and fresh. Also a fan of the house salsa and tortilla chips (not over-salted like a lot of other places). Fwiw I’ve only ordered take out and delivery; never eaten inside.

The food was about a 3 or 4 star. The ground beef wasn't very tasty. However the steak and chicken in my tacos were amazing. The corn tortillas were very good. Enchiladas were good, chips and salsa were okay.
The carnitas looked like diced spam.
The seating, indoor and outdoor was good. The shop is full of neat things my kids wanted to see them all.
Overall the service and experience was good. We would come back to this establishment for another meal.

This is a small family run restaurant. The owner Eddy couldn't be more hospitable. He understood gluten sensitive issues, and made certain everything I ordered was properly made with regards to avoiding cross contact. Being from San Antonio TX, where Mexican (Tex Mex) places are on every corner and then some, this is authentic Mexican. Great food, fresh salsas, fresh everything. It is a very charming place. When we return to Rochester in the future, we will return to El Carambas!!

Excellent Real Mexican Food... The service is more than awesome. A very good tasty food. A lot of vibrant colors like the Mexican people are. The chef recommendation was the best. If you like the spicy sauce, they have the better ones. I'll recommend El Carambas Taqueria 100% to all my friends and family.

Really Authentic. Rochester is so lucky to have this restaurant. It's not fair for other reviewers to judge the quality of this food by American standards because this is truly authentic Mexican and may not be enjoyed by all Americans. This is the only place I've found in Minnesota where you can get tongue, head meat, stomach, and bonus they have rice water and michiladas (tomato juice and beer), etc. Based on my many travels and experiences, the food here, by Mexican standards and even American, is very good and 100% authentic.

Very good place to eat. Reasonable priced. Great location. Super people work there. Have been going there for years. Beat Mexican food I have had. They have been at this location for over 20 years. You know they are well established! If you love Mexican food this a must place to eat!
