Service was great. As well as the food. Waiter explained everything and made some suggestions. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Very friendly.
I was seated immediately upon walking in by a very friendly hostess. Within two minutes a waiter took my drink order, and explained some items on the menu. My order was delivered promptly, and was pleasing to the eye as well as the palate. The salad was fresh, cool and crisp, and the miso hot and tasty. My only concern was that the seaweed wrap on the rolls was fairly tough. I'm not used to having to tear and rip the wrap with my teeth, but otherwise they were very good.
Also... the two parties in the habachi area in the next room were VERY loud... almost to the point of my leaving. Management should allow parties to enjoy themselves, but not to the detriment of all other guests. Yelling and whooping are out of line... and terrible manners.

My kobe review.. Kobe is a small place in my opinion. ( they should buy the old ponderosa or something) Because of their size and the lack of other hibachi places in greece if you go here on a weekend you will find this place to be packed! i have had reservations passed by more than an hour of me standing Agenst the wall because the bar was full. With that being said. I have an over whelming addiction to american sushi. i come from brockport and out our way kobe is our closest option other then Wegmans and (that is just not an option.) I love their frid rice more then other hibachi joints and and could live on their boston roll and spicy tuna rolls. I have gotten sushi more times then i can count and can think of one time i had gotten sushi there and "wasnt happy with it" and it was because my seaweed stuff was a little chewy all other times i get my sushi to go. and eat it on the ride home. by the time i get to the kwik fill just past doan i want to turn around for more... :-D
I wish they had a reword system like buy 10 rolls get a roll free or get a percentage off :)
The service was friendly and prompt. we ate the sushi and had something yummy called the angry dragon roll. it was a flaming sushi roll! delicious!
Dinner at Kobe. We had reservations for a party of 8 at 7pm, the place was packed, and we had to wait quite some time before being seated, BUT the staff was awesome, particularly a young gentleman who apologized for our wait, and offered us drinks and appetizers on the house for our wait. We had the Hibachi meal, which was excellent and entertaining. I would definitely go back there!
Had the best time here! Such a cool environment with nice staff, fantastic food and a nice atmosphere! We had four sushi rolls - I've been to California Rollin, Plum House, and Piranha on Park Ave - Kobe is definitely a new favorite! YUM!

Better Than On TV!. We are a family of wanna be foodies and often lament the lack of really interesting cuisine in the area, though we've found a few good spots for other ethnic food - sushi was very elusive and we love Sushi.
Kobe blows it out of the water.
BEST sushi I've had anywhere though hubby says it rivals sushi he had in Seattle - but only at the priciest places. We didn't consider Kobe pricey at all - very fair prices for fresh, raw sushi and oysters.
Everything was FRESH, FRESH, FRESH. We've been there only twice so I hope it stays that way. :)
You must try their oysters and especially the Oyster Shooters. Delicious and special. And so FRESH. I was an oyster newbie until this experience and wasn't entirely sure I could handle big squishy raw oysters but OMG, pure heaven.
Fresh and slightly briny served with a fantastic lemon and ginger sauce on the side in the case of the regular oysters.
The shooter is like the best Bloody Mary ever with uni, a bit of spice, quail egg and of course, an oyster. Next time, I could live on just their oyster dishes.
We've had many kinds of rolls, took the kids there. Everyone loved everything from Sashimi to Angry Dragon roll. The Central Park was wonderful as was everything else.
It was a lovely experience with great sushi and service.
Oh, and the Cheesecake Tempura is a very interesting way to enjoy cheesecake - we shared a piece with the kids and it was plenty.
Next time, we plan to try the ice cream tempura - we had chocolate last time, but the table next to us ordered a flavor I've never heard of - probably some Asian fruit and I can't even spell it phonetically. LOL!
But ask which flavors they have and try anything that doesn't sound like vanilla or chocolate.
Someday we'll try the grill show, but right now we're stuck on having the best sushi we've had in the area and we're loving it.
Go on a Saturday, early afternoon if you don't like crowds. :D The word is already out it seems...
Oh, and please try the squid salad appetizer - it's wonderfully light and tasty and I only ever liked squid deep-fried before. This was just wonderfully 'al dente' in that it has a good mouth feel and fresh flavor that is just a great warm up to the sushi.

Christmas linch. Took our group of 9 to lunch. The hibaschi show was great! the food delicious. Going back tonight with other friends!

Sushi date night! No complaints 😃 We were seated pretty quickly, ordered the love boat and left full and happy! Everything seems pretty average priced if comparing to other sushi places. The sushi was fresh and delish!!! Seating is pretty snug here, so it doesn't give much of a cozy vibe if you're looking for that.
Met here for a birthday party with a dozen people. They sat us all around 2 large cooking tables and prepared our food. Lots of fun.
I loved the food here. I had the spicy tuna roll and the new york roll and they were both delicious. The menu has a wide variety of food, including some vegetarian options. In the women's bathroom there is no physical lock on the outside of the small stall, but you can lock it if you push the mechanism manually with your finger. The soap dispenser didn't have a cover either. Otherwise, I had a lovely experience here. The staff were lovely.
First time having Hibachi. Went here for our anniversary. Only one other couple across from us and they spent the whole time on their phone haha. The food was delicious and we really enjoyed watching it get cooked. The chef was very skilled. Only complaint is he was done too fast! I thought dinner would last longer but we were done eating in 45min. We both got chicken hibachi and were very satisfied with the quality and price.

Always love a trip to Kobe! I order their Tiger Roll with my dinner and it is exceptional! Highly recommend their food and their restaurant. Sit in the restaurant or reserve a treat in the hibachi grill. Either way it is a good time!
One of the better places for sushi in the Rochester area, prices are higher but the quality of sushi makes it worth it. They have so much more other than sushi as well, everything that I've ordered here has been really good!
An amazing hibachi experience. So much food for the money and it comes with a shoe. They move you in and out quickly so there isn’t a ton of waiting it’s amazing. Great for kids. Sushi is excellent as well. Don’t forget to do a Saka Bomb!!!
Absolutely the best quality food perfectly prepared and presented. The seating setup isn't the best for chatting, four of us were seated in a line, so the outer two couldn't talk. If there's four of you, try to get two seats on the end and two seats from the long side of the hibachi table.
Hibachi gooooood! Nice place to come with friends, hibachi entertainment was sub-par, nothing special, but also have all the necessary performance. Price was friendly! The food was delicious! The noodle is on the salty side the sauce used can be improved and the lighting of the restaurant also needs improvement. Otherwise a pleasant dining experience! Big portion size too
