The food was delicious and the service friendly though a little less attentive near the end. Huge variety of dishes and good sushi. The only negative was the tables are spaced uncomfortably far at the booths.
We had 8 people and everyone enjoyed their meal. The only "complaint" was the seseme chicken had a slight orange flavor to it. Not bad, just unexpected for seseme chicken. I got Buddha Delight, a vegetarian dish but removed the tofu and added chicken. It was very good. I tried from other's plates: house lomein, beef and broccoli, wonton soup, all were really good. But my niece got the lemon chicken and it was great! And the portions were very large. I can't tell you the last time we ALL enjoyed our Chinese food. Since the Jade Palace in Webster went down hill years ago we have been searching for good Chinese and we have tried a lot of places. The staff was great, everything was clean. It was a little pricey but we all brought home leftovers for another meal. We will go back again!
The photo is of lemon chicken.
Great restaurant amazing atmosphere and authentic Chinese food experience.
Especially recommend the salty duck fresh and tasty!
Fantastic decor and atmosphere. We even had live harp during dinner. Food tasted fresh and higher quality than your typical takeout, although still mostly Americanized options like sesame chicken and such. Reasonable prices forces the quality and quantity. Personally I would still probably prefer PF Chang's but this is a pretty solid addition. Glad to see more fine Chinese dining (vs takeout). Try to the crab fried wontons, they were delicious!
Red Sun is located in the back of Sakura (same building and owners I believe)
I never write reviews but recently, my wife and I have been super disappointed with takeout from anywhere. We decided to try Red Sun, we’re extremely surprised. Everything we ordered was hot and very very good. The beef was tender and not chewy. The vegetables were perfectly cooked (not hard and under done). Our dinner was a little pricey but definitely worth it in the end. We will definitely be going back. Now I need a nap because I ate too much and am super stuffed. Thank you Red Sun staff for finally impressing us!!
The food is very good.
I like the Kung Pao shrimp, fresh spring rolls and fried rice.
They have a habit of forgetting to put something you've ordered in your takeout or delivery bag pretty much everytime but they will usually deliver it.
Beautifully decorated. Very romantic. We sat in the bamboo forest area and it was so pretty. Food was good, not great. Pork dumplings were a little bland. Egg drop soup and chicken lettuce wraps were tasty. Service was fine, but not terribly friendly. Didn't order drinks but the cocktail menu looked fun. I'd go back.
I had vegetarian options and found everything fresh and lightly seasoned. The steamed vegetable dumplings were handmade and featured a thick chewy dough. The star though was the vegetable lettuce wrap. It seemed a bit pricey but it was worth it. The portion was huge, enough for 2-3 people as an appetizer. The filling was fresh and light. Taking off 1 star as my husband had a scallop dish that was good but ordinary.
Went to the Sikora Japanese Hibachi side. Very busy, great food as always. A little difficulty getting chef service when seated 1 hour and 15 minutes to get chef table side. But Mgmt was very sympathic, and made the situation right for our table. Will return again to enjoy their great food. Thank you.
I went here a couple weeks ago and it was really good. I thought the crunchy noodles that are served with every table were nice compliments to the meal. I thought the environment was welcoming and looked very decorative. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for delicious Chinese food. I've been meaning to go back again soon!! Food came out at a reasonable time and the waitress was nice. :)
